Why would a person just casually throw something out like this with no way to back it up? The man was asking for trouble.

I don't know about Song Hye kyo but many actresses / idols that u have seen and loved, have or used to have sponsors when they started. When female newbie started in this industry, majority of them are approached with sponsors suggestion, even the Big 3 celebrities. Whether they choose to take it or not, that's what separated small companies from big companies, big companies celebrities may have enough supports from the companies without engaging sponsors. But that also depend on how lucrative is the sponsorships and how badly the individual want to be famous.

In fact, the companies' managers have actually been warned about these "brokers" and try to prevent them from getting to the companies celebrities. But some small/mid size companies still engage these brokers themselves to push their actresses forward...

The 'sponsorship' situation ($$$$$) *must* be tempting. Especially for FEMALE aspiring Actors or K-pop Idols when they are just starting out. GOOD that SONG HYE KYO did 'slap' this male person in COURT though. At least there is the impression that you cannot 'always get away' with slander like that.

Not always money. They have influence in media, some are senior in industries who have connections that can give newbies roles or appearances. It is also advertisement deals, like they are big shareholders of some brands and can push the companies to give actresses/ idols advertisement deals. And of course all of these are traded by sex.

Yes, I am NOT really clear that there is an 'easy solution' to the SPONSORSHIP issue. Other than to perhaps INFORM the TRAINEES about the realities of a SPONSORSHIP situation. It would SEEM like a 'crime' (almost a borderline PROSTITUTION type situation) that is likely DIFFICULT to prove it in a COURT of LAW.

but i feel like 3 mil KRW is somehow small as a fine? it should be a lot bigger so that they'll learn their lesson well.. damaging people's reputation is such an ugly thing
