'Inkigayo's voting system has come under fire.
At the end of the 9th episode, fans noticed a startling change in the new ranking system. The new maximum value for real-time votes had changed from the previous 1000 to 6000 - meaning that the votes counted as much as the music sales. While they'd been told that the real-time voting during the show had changed, they didn't realize that the change would be so significant. The first ones up with the new system were GOT7, A Pink, and Park Hyo Sin, and fans were dismayed at the sudden change (however, even if the maximum real-time votes were 1000 and things are scaled down, GOT7 still wins the show by a wide margin).
After the show, viewers went to the 'Inkigayo' page to demand if this was legitimate. Many felt that it was wrong for real-time votes to count as much as the music sales did, pointing out that the show was not a popularity contest but a music show. Others thought it was unfairly biased for boy groups, who normally have larger fan bases than girl groups do.
