Lyrics from Topp Dogg Jenissi's new song is stirring up controversy.

The track titled "Back 2 the Sun", of his first solo album 'True to be Honest' tells the story of his teenage years. Jenissi raps about his puberty days, mentioning his past girlfriend, poor grades, love for rap, and more. One particular part, about Jenissi admitting that he's smoked since he was in middle school, is becoming an issue.

The controversial lyrics state, "In 8th grade I felt lonely for the first time. In my memory there wasn't anyone home when I got back from school. So then I ate ramen with my friends, smoked cigarettes at the basketball court in front of my house, and played around rapping."

Netizens, shocked by his confession, commented, "He just admitted his illegal actions", "Heol...", "Smoking underage is illegal", "Why is he confidently admitting that?", and more.

Was Jenissi a bit too true and honest?

These is a lot of celebrities that smoke (remind me of the entire cast of 2 days and 1 night besides Cha Taehyun) and he has the right to make these choices to himself. People smoke because they feel that it is like a part of them or their daily ritual. I don't understand why people gotta be like this. HE also apparently "cursed" on a Twitter post while drunk. LISTEN CAREFULLY. HE WAS DRUNK. People tens to also blurt out some truths when drunk, and I can name some f***ing "fandoms" out there so I understand where he's trying to stand. Topp Dogg is a great group. Their people are very talented. But, they are HUMAN. And you fans tell me that they can't be human. What is this.

I'm sorry, but I love K-Pop for it's music. But one thing I hate about the Korean Pop Culture is that about 2/3 of their fans (that I've seen) are brainless, addictive, and asses to people who may be just like them.

That's because he's a grown up man now. At least he knows to admit his actions. K-NETZ i don't like the fact that you're making this an issue..

That is not a problem? It's his own decision and smoking isn't illegal. Netizens calm the fuck down and just enjoy the rap god's music.

It is so funny how they treat underrated idols as if they don't exist but when some kind of controversy comes up, they start bashing like there's no tomorrow. Please netizens.

Um, welcome to the world of rap. He's just being honest. From what I can tell, he's not bragging or acting like what he did was okay. He was just describing his life back in middle school.
