On the June 8 broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Talents for Sale' which aired live via 'V,' the SISTAR members talked about losing drastic amounts of weight to upkeep their idol image. 


Soyu admitted, "I've lost 8 kg (~17.64 lbs) in one month before. Before 'How Dare You' promotions, I weighed 56 kg (~123.45 lbs). My height is 168 cm (~5'6"). Though it's probably not a heavy weight normally, among celebrities, that's considered heavy. So I thought that I should lose some weight and slimmed down to 48 kg (~105.82 lbs)."

Dasom chimed in, "I've also gone from 56 kg (~123.45 lbs) to 44 kg (~97 lbs) before," while Hyorin joked, "Right now I'm getting bigger. I should stop getting bigger now....

    I started did harsh diet this year its named diet mayo (no salt in 14days) i lost 6kilos but when stopped i gain 1 kilo direclty in day 1..then i starting healthy diet..now my weight stable im 162cm and 46kilos, lost about 8kilos in 6months :')

    i think soyou once talked about this as well. she once went on a crazy diet to lose a lot of weight, but then she learned from her mistakes and decided to work out and at the same time eat healthy while not restricting herself from having cheat days. hopefully, they're all doing it healthily! :)

    they are all starving themselves and those teenage girls look up to them and do the same thing... like.. you cant freaking stave yourself your whole life just to stay slim go hclf vegan and you can eat all you want AND lose weight (go to yt and search for high carb hannah shes amazing)

    I'm 5'3 and always around 108 lbs area. If I lose weight it would be around 104 lbs, and when I gain weight it goes back to 108 lbs. I eat a lot of proteins and try to avoid veggies as much as possible Lol. I pretty much eat rice 2 times a day and everyday Lol. Even though my doctor told me to go on a low carb diet because of my chubby cheeks, which do :| make me look fat Q__Q.But Rice is LOVE.

    i starved myself and exercised for 4 hours everyday for a month and lost a little over 15lbs... but then i gained double the amount back...

    I almost accidentaly downvoted you! Thats because if you starve your body things he needs savings for your next starving, so he takes everything he can store. thats why you gain easily more or even twice as much after a diet, especialy if the diet was starving. becaus ewe actualyl make our body believe we are in an enviroment where we might need to starve soemtimes, so its bette rto be prepared for those times. So that your body gained wight actualyl means you are very helathy and prepared for the apocalypse. Btw, I'm sure you look fabulous either way :)

    exactly Im 5"3 at 60 kg which is within normal weight range and i am curvy & exercise. My sister is 5"3 60kg but she looks obese and is unfit. I honestly dont weigh myself anymore, i look at how tight my clothes are getting to determine how much weight I've put on.

    me neither, if I feel comfortable I'm alright, if I start too feel less fit, I look at my eating habbits the last weeks and see if I might have overdone it on something unhelathy, Go back to a a helathier lifestyle and maybe add some extra jogging in my daily walkings with my dog. i never felt more happy in my own body then the day I throw the wage out of my life

    I do recommend to -always- eat healthy and be conscious of it every time you eat something you don't need. Stay away from soda, red meat only once a week or less, lots of fibers, fruits and nuts every day... Also, have exercise as part of your weekly routine, and don't skip out on it. Do it like this and it will actually be difficult to gain size. You will find yourself on the scales to check you're not getting too light.

    I lost 20 pounds in two weeks with a salad diet with chicken and veggies in it with ranch and once in that week I could eat fried food it sucked I realized  that diets not for me so there are healthy ways to loose a lot of pounds in a month.

    No, I never felt light headed or no energy I had baked or grilled chicken or shrimp and I had cucumbers, bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, and red cabbage. I would alternate with the veggies and meats and I ate it 3 times a day.

    Yeah cardio and walking oh and red onion brings out flavor for the salad and veggies or fruits for snacks or crackers/peanuts. That something new I added it's working so far.
