LUCKY ROMANCE -- EPISODE 9
Ladies and gents, the female wrist grab
Gary gets completely frozen out this episode, much to his chagrin. Instead Bo Nui is spending time with Soo Ho. This even extends to the company retreat. The retreat is full of cute moments, but the evening ends badly when they try to toss hydrophobic Soo Ho into the water, and Bo Nui has to nurse him back to health...
So about halfway through is where the show finds its way. I was kinda iffy about it at first. I was looking for a romantic comedy, not a drama with comedic elements. There's a difference. I'm not a fan of outright slapstick, either. But I saw potential. Now they finally made it fun, and they managed to stick with it.
"And now here they are: the most daredevil group of daffy drivers to ever whirl their wheels in the Wacky Races..."
Bo Nui needs to live her life for herself. The constant attempts to debunk the superstitions are annoying sometimes, but I see where Soo Ho is coming from. And Bo Ra can be very important in her life without having to live her life for her sister. That's why we have separate bodies. Sometimes I find myself talking to the characters during the show. Neurotic much? ;)
I do wonder about Gary. He's been friendzoned. Worse, Bo Nui thinks of him as a little brother. But I think he's smitten. Which kinda throws off my shipping. If you remember, I had Gary/Bo Nui and Amy/Soo Ho as OTP material. So what happens when they toss that out? If my predictions hold true, then it will be interesting to see how they pull it off.
No one knows they're being filmed... heh heh...
I'm still here, and it's consistently good. I'm also curious to see if I'm right. I'm on this ride til the end.
