Jessi posed for 'International bnt,' posing for different concepts ranging from feminine and sweet to sexy and tough.

In the interview, she said regarding the response to her current KBS 2TV variety show, 'Unnies' Slam Dunk,' "I was unable to monitor it even once because, honestly, I haven't even had the time to sleep these days.  I'm happy that people seem to be enjoying it a lot. I felt burdened and was very nervous because it was my first time as a regular member of a variety show, but I plan to do my best."

Regarding her image as a 'ssenunni (strong unnie),' Jessi said, "I think what's more accurate is that I'm honest rather than strong.  I always showed my image as is.  I can't do anything about the outward image I show, but I want you to know that my personality itself is not strong."

She also relayed how she's able to be here now thanks to 'Unpretty Rapstar,' but she now wants to gradually cast aside that image to do the music she wants to do.  Recently, she felt as if she had lost her identity regarding music, so had felt like she was tossed into chaos, but by refocusing on music, she wants to discover her identity once again.  "It's been about twelve years since I debuted," she added. "It was a hard road coming here, but I always had confidence regarding music."

She also addressed the topic of many comedic programs and more attempting to mimic Jessi in the way she talks and acts.  Jessi relayed, "Honestly, it's not the same at all.  It's nice that they have interest in me and I left a deep impression in them, but I wish they would stop now."

"I think what's more accurate is that I'm honest rather than strong.  I always showed my image as is.  I can't do anything about the outward image I show, but I want you to know that my personality itself is not strong." I don't know if someone translated her words incorrectly but if your going to be honest with your opinions then be prepared for other people's opinions as well. You can't say/do everything you want and then get your feelings hurt if you don't get positive feedback.

It's been 12 years since she debuted? What did she debut with? (legit question)

IM_lovinIT Tuesday, May 10, 2016

@omsi, why don't you answer my question instead of disliking it? I did mention it was a legit question. I thought she debuted in the past few years only with Lucky J

It's tough becoming popular for a certain kind of image, especially when that image was only a self defense mechanism in a really tough competition, and not a day to day personality. Having to fake it from then on really sucks, I'm excited to see what she puts out as her natural self :)

There is a fine line between mimicking because you truly sound/look/act like someone, and mimicking to mock and demean another human being. It disgusts me that there is a clear cut divide in korea between the "untouchable" people, who you only praise, clap and support on shows, and the "expendibles" who you laugh at and mock. DON'T even deny it; give me the name of any celebrity and I'll tell you where korea's placed them.

yoo jae suk

periwinkledomo neoncolors_0 Monday, May 9, 2016

i actually agree with you, but he kinda seems to be in both categories

i agree yoo jae suk's tricky, but simply because he's one of the people instigating the claps or laughs. I would call him "expendible", because he throws himself out there to make guests more comfortable.

Originally I could not STAND this woman. She dissed on the Queen and was just a pain in the ass. But... she's friends with Tiffany so she can't be ALL bad, so I tried to keep an open mind. After watching "Slam Dunk", I have to admit, she's starting to grow on me. The two main problems were that she insulted my ultimate bias and, well let's face it, her personality is REALLY familiar to me. (glances at the mirror).

Oh yes I have major problems with her bitching on BoA when her majesty didn't do shit to her.
