Kang Ha Neul confessed on the February 17 episode of 'Radio Star' that he was able to get the leading role in 'The Portrait of a Poet' because Yoo Ah In gave it up to him. 

The MCs had tried to goad Kang Ha Neul in to saying something he may regret by probing him, "We heard that Yoo Ah In was eyeing the leading role for 'The Portrait of a Poet. So [by getting the leading role], wouldn't you consider it a victory over him?"

Kang Ha Neul, who grew fidgety at the question, answered carefully, "I did hear that Yoo Ah In was interested in the role. But I don't think it makes sense to say that I beat him by getting that role instead. Rather, I think that Yoo Ah In ceded the role to me."
