[Drama Review] 'Cheese In The Trap' - Episode 10

Park Hae Jin, Seo Kang Jun, Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Go Eun
We're entering the second half of the series and fortunately for us, this episode was full of adorableness and everything was sweet. My heart was pleasantly warm throughout and it's all thanks to Eun Taek-Bora and In Ho-Seol.

While Seol and Yoo Jung are still on their 'break' and keeping their distance, Seol and In Ho continue at a steady pace of getting some quality time with each other. Starting from playing the piano together, studying at the library, to even walking back from home, they spend an extreme amount of time together.

Yoo Jung should feel threatened by this since Seol doesn't seem like she is totally off put by spending time with In Ho. She actually enjoys their mini get togethers and she even gets him medicine for his cold. How sweet.

But just because they are in a time out, doesn't mean that Yoo Jung is completely putting off Seol to the side. He still cares for Seol in his own way, which was to punish Min Soo and Young Gon for harassing her. He goes on manipulating situations, placing pawns left and right to create the perfect scenario - the thing that Seol warned him not to do. Boys will never learn.

Surprisingly, the height of the plot happened in the beginning of the episode where Seol and Min Soo brawl it out in front of everyone, literally, after Seol finds out that Min Soo has been lying about being Hong Jun's girlfriend.

The fight, instigated by Yoo Jung, is pretty epic as you see real Seol and fake Seol get physical, taking things to the floor. Yoo Jung doesn't intervene since he already saw this coming.

Everything after the big fight was strangely calm and normal for 'Cheese in the Trap'. In Ho realizes that he likes Seol, In Ha teams up with Yoo Jung to get back at Young Gon, Young Gon gets Seol fired from the library.

While watching the previous episodes, I was always left breathless as the drama sped through everything at a rapid pace, taking me on a vigorous emotional rollercoaster. With that kind of speed, by the time I got to episode 10, I was already tired of it all. Everything I saw in episode 10, I've already seen it before in episodes one through nine.

Even though Young Gon is still obnoxious, I've already gotten accustomed to his ridiculousness and whatever he does isn't so surprising anymore. But what keeps me watching this drama is the relationship between Eun Taek and Bora (as I've mentioned in basically every review) and the ending of this love triangle. These two pairings give a breath of fresh air to the drama.

Don't get me wrong, I still hold the same sentiment when it comes to everything else and they're all great in their own way. I still think Yoo Jung is manipulative and should be someone to keep distance from and In Ha's personality is still too much for me to handle.

It's just that now that the momentum is dying down, after I've been already sucked into the whole drama after drama sequence, everything else now seems menial.

I can only hope that this is just the calm before the storm and we'll see more action in the next episode.
