1. 15 K-Pop songs that will help you master Korean
Learning Korean is no easy task, but the need to understand our favorite songs, variety shows featuring our idols and dramas is growing day by day. If you are just beginning or want to master a few simple phrases, believe it or not, these K-Pop songs will have you sounding like a native in no time! Well...maybe just a native of introductions!
2. 4Minute - What's Your Name?
This is just the basics. You gotta know how to ask this and you definitely have to know when it is being asked to you! With 4Minute's unforgettably catchy chorus, you'll master this in just 3 minutes!
3. Hello Venus - What Are You Doing Today?
Start the day off right with your new friends and ask them "What are you doing today?" Just simply ask as cutely as Hello Venus and they will definitely make their plans free for you! It is a great way to plan your day and use your new Korean phrases with friends!
4. Girl's Day - Don't Forget Me
After finally introducing yourself, wow your new Korean friend by letting them know you cannot be forgotten! If speaking in Korean wasn't enough to make them remember you, this phrase will definitely do the trick!
5. 2PM - My House
My house, your house, either way, we all have a home to go back to! Whether you are inviting them over or are trying to go to their house, this phrase is a must have. Just don't go using it for DramaFever and Chill!
6. B.I.G - Are You Ready?
You are gonna get the party started or maybe you just want to get up and leave somewhere - either way when you are with people you will often have to ask "are you ready?" for any new activities you may be engaging in next!
7. J.Y. Park - Who's Your Mama?
You'll laugh now, but you'd be surprised what kind of things spark up in conversation, especially in Korean! Whether you are flirting or just need to know whose mom is whose, just think of JYP and ask away!
8. Ailee -Mind Your Own Business
Sometimes you gotta take a moment to speak in English or simply ask something privately to someone in Korean. If someone starts getting too nosy, make it obvious and tell them to mind their own business as fierce as Ailee!
9. T-ara - Do You Know Me?
It happens - people come up to you left in right now because you're the foreigner who speaks Korean! If you can't handle the mass attention from strangers, just politely ask "Do you know me?" and make a new friend!
10. AOA - Heart Attack
I mean when is this not important to learn and say? You may just have one if you run into one of your biases in the streets of Korea! Maybe you are even partying too hard into the night with your new friends? Either way, prepare yourself in advance with AOA!
11. GOT7 - Stop It
When someone is over your house, they may do something that is just generally annoying. They don't mean it but they keep doing it. Just get their attention by shouting "Stop it!" as cool as GOT7 and they won't dare do it again!
12. Big Bang - Lies
No matter where you go, there are liars everywhere. Whether this new guy wants to be your boyfriend or this girl is clearly trying to sneak into the party uninvited, call them out on it and simply shout "LIES!" the next time they try to sneakily lie again.
13. Girls' Generation - Tell Me Your Wish
OK, OK, it is highly unlikely you would ever say this to anyone in any sentence, but who wouldn't want to learn this? After all, Girls' Generation makes everything so darn catchy that if you don't know this phrase when it comes on the party playlist, it is a shame!
14. GD&TOP - Don't Go Home
Once you have new friends over your house, you never want the party to end! Keep the night going and simply say "Don't go home!" Without a doubt, they will be so impressed they may just stay a little longer to see what other phrases you know!
15. B1A4 - Goodnight
Finally, the sun is coming up! You partied hard enough and need your new friends to vacant the premises. Simply say a polite "good night" and they will take the hint! Don't forget to be as smooth as B1A4 when you bid farewell!
16. B2ST - Gotta Go To Work
It is finally the morning after your fun day with new friends! When they ask what you are doing the next morning, instead of saying you have a hangover, say "I gotta go to work!" Send them the link to this song even if you wanna be extra humorous.
