GOT7 doesn't want you to forget them during the holidays as they've put out a slick Winter repackage of their album 'Mad.' As I've already reviewed the previously released songs on the original 'Mad' album, we'll only be covering the four new ones here.

"Confession Song"
Starting with the sound of sleigh bells (or is that jingle bells?), Jackson's raps come in quickly, and Junior, BamBam, and Yugyeom fill the singing duties, followed by rapping by Mark at the end. It's pleasant groove, but the chorus sounds a bit like "A" from 2014's 'Got Love.' It's sung in the same pitch even, just with a down note. It still doesn't ruin a pretty good tune. It's a song about confessing to a girl and the nervous feelings leading up to that.

"Every Day"
A slow R&B track, the boys again break out croonish, heartfelt voices and rich harmonies. Amid claps to keep the beat and the occasional rap, this smooth song is meant to tug on your tear ducts and melt your heart. Interestingly enough, JB gets a larger part here than in "Confession Song," though Youngjae's parts are again miniscule. The message is that every day, they feel thankful for her.

"Farewell"
This song takes us into ballad territory, and what's interesting is that it's sung a bit more forceful than "Every Day," almost as if the boys might be clenching their fists at the thought of losing the girl. The lyrics are evocative of seasons changing from fall to winter -- at least in the beginning -- and there's some nice imagery there. The takeaway is that they're crying over a breakup.

"If You Do (Stage Version)"
The 'Stage Version' of "If You Do" is different than the original, though not markedly so. The first thing you notice is that it's faster, the hooks and verses coming at you more rapidly. It's busier, too, with blasting horns behind it. To my ears, not as good as the original.

This is a pretty sweet repackage. Not only do we get the delectable songs on the original album but we also get four new tracks, each of which is high quality. The new ones are a little different from what we heard on the original release; they mesh nicely, but they have their own distinct sound, for which I'm glad. A rehash of the same six original songs would be boring and more suited for a remix album or some such. This is good stuff and a great idea for a stocking stuffer for the GOT7 fan in your life.

MV REVIEW

The boys of GOT7 help classmates make their confessions in "Confession Song."

In this adorable MV, GOT7 is in school. We see some students come in and lead a few of their fellow pupils out, the identities of our Christmas ushers hidden by ginormous reindeer heads. Jackson appears and starts rapping, and as the rest of the band makes appearances it becomes apparent that it's all a setup for the shy boys in school to profess their love to their crushes.

The wardrobe is entirely 100% appropriate. Even wearing those oversize heads, it's still all Christmas-in-the-classroom-themed. The boys wear the traditional dress code outfits with blazers ties, and vests. And Santa hats make up the rest of it. It's cute.

Ultimately, the dancing is relegated to the individual shots, where each of them bust out into martial-arts-inspired moves as they sing their parts. Which is what they're supposed to do. :)  Despite the distinctly diminutive timeframe for the moves, they were still pretty cool.

This is a likable video. Even your jaded reviewer was surprised and smiling at the spectacle, from the delightful reindeer heads to the charming scenes where they're setting up the room for their purposes, with Christmas trees, lights, and so forth. All in the dead of night, before their little stunt. We can probably forget that some teacher would be chasing them down the hall with a rod. :) It's fun, it's Christmasy, it's entirely relevant to the point of the song, and it's not what I expected. I give this two reindeer antlers.
