Hwang Jung Eum told the press, "I felt no worries about ruining my image for the drama. But I'm afraid that people will switch the channel because I come out looking too hideous. I'm anxious about how I'll overcome this dilemma. I looked so ugly that I even became depressed. I trusted that the director will find the happy medium."�

She continued by joking, "Well, I don't hear it so much now, but when I was young I was told so often how pretty I was so it's okay if I ruin my image this much. I'm already pretty enough, so I'm not afraid to bring myself down a notch," laughing as she said so.�
