No Hak Young, who was Crown Prince Lee Yoon (CPY)'s main man, turned into a vampire on the last episode in the hands of Gwi, if you remember correctly. Sung Yeol (SY) overpowered him after some scuffle, but didn't finish his opponent as Yang Sun (YS) was going hysterical, begging SY not to kill him.

My guess is that YS thought of her dead father, whom SY had put out of his misery by thrusting a knife right through his heart. The poor girl probably remembered that instance and how SY was the one that killed her pops.

Hunter Baek In Ho, who was a close friend of the late Seo Jeong Do, regards Seo Jin (Yang Sun) as his own daughter. Hence, he is flabbergasted when he learns from SY that CPY and the king planned to sacrifice YS to Gwi. SY reassures Baek that if indeed YS was the only component needed to off Gwi, then the other two would not be needed.

Gwi forbids a funeral to be held for the king, as he was a 'traitor' that plotted against the true king--himself. Newly coronated CPY, who is now a king, is also being accused of being blinded by his power for the throne. In this insidious manner, Gwi plans to turn the hearts of the hoi polloi against CPY so that once he rises to the throne, he will better sway the hearts of the public. Methinks that Gwi is planning to put all the blame on CPY and SY as the culprits who have been wreaking havoc on the nation of Joseon.

SY is back to being namby-pamby pansy about his feels for YS, telling her that "someone like me can't be with you." Oh, puhleeeeaaaase. YS did eventually recall that SY is the one that killed her father and has become somewhat more fearful of the scholar, but that doesn't mean she is ready to part from him just yet. In fact, once the two lovers brave this rough storm, there may be hope to renew the two's love.

Gwi sets out to test both Hye Ryeong (HR) and CPY's loyalty, tasking HR with the mission of peculating the magical sun-blocking cloak from SY, disguising her as SY's past lover Myung Hee (MH). The vampire orders for CPY to seize SY as means for CPY to prove that the king is truly his servant. HR sets out to accomplish her task right away, oh-so-conveniently chancing upon SY during her midnight stroll through the woods. HR has no trouble tricking a disoriented SY that she is MH, stealing the cloak, and bringing it to CPY. Meanwhile, HR hatches a plan of her own to kill SY, Gwi and YS. Yes, you read right, she is planning to murder all three of them. Sometimes I wonder if HR is a sociopath.

Girl: You're cute and all but I still can't get over the fact that you shot an arrow into my back.

Guy: B..but you told me to do it!�

CPY sets out with a bunch of his muscle men to capture a weak, enfeebled 90 lb girl and an equally weak and and enfeebled man. He orders the arrest of both SY and YS as they are both treacherous criminals. This is where I was like, "bish whet." YS's arrest at least makes a bit of sense since her dad was accused of being the 'Lustful Student.' But SY's arrest? He was the one that saved CPY's ass just two episodes ago. Way to show gratitude to your savior by arresting him...*slow claps*
