Director Han Sa Min criticized for seemingly shunning 2PM's 'My House' MV to film Big Bang's 'Sober'

2PM, Big Bang
There are rumors that the director who turned down JYP Entertainment and 2PM's MV filming is the same one who produced Big Bang's latest comeback MV for "Sober," resurfacing previous controversy in regards to the sudden cancellation of 2PM's comeback MV filming.

It appears 2PM's initial June comeback plan was to start filming their MV on May 15, but due to an abrupt canceling from their MV staff, the group's comeback plans were consequently delayed.

At the time, JYP Entertainment officially announced, "Production DEXTERLAB's director Han Sa Min, who we had been working with us on 2PM's MV filming that was to be released on June 1, told us, 'I cannot film the MV because of personal relationships to an artist that is releasing music near the same time,' and we were told filming would not happen 4 days before our scheduled time."

Once this news on 2PM's comeback broke, netizens started to speculate that the director's "personal relationships to an artist" was with Big Bang, and criticized the director for ruining 2PM's comeback plans. Because of the delay in their comeback, 2PM supposedly had to shorten their promotional period to a week.

The initial rumors were put to rest when YG Entertainment released an official statement which stated that Big Bang's MV to be released in June ("Loser") was not directed by Han Sa Min, but was being taken care of by video production company Digipedi (Sung Won Mo and Park Sang Woo).

Currently, however, Director Han Sa Min's online portfolio and official Vimeo page lists both "Loser" and "Sober" under his work, raising eyebrows regarding YG Entertainment's previous official statement in regards to the director.

According to his page, director Han Sa Min has worked with YG Entertainment on multiple occasions, specifically with Big Bang, producing "Crooked," "Blue," "Bad Boy," "Eyes, Nose, Lips," and more.

Meanwhile, netizens have voiced their opinions on the controversy, stating that this is not the fault of YG Entertainment, but it lies solely on Director Han Sa Min for agreeing to work with 2PM, then backing out at the last minute.
