Recently Big Bang was accused of borrowing the sound from The Wantedand now Crush's new song "Oasis" is being perused for possibly having borrowed the melody from "Awkward," an R&B track composed by LA-based artistEric Bellinger.

This controversy was publicized when a hip hop web magazine editor Kang Il Kwon mentioned the issue on his Twitter on July 15. A netizen had also uploaded a clip before that on YouTube to compare the two tracks, which you can check out above.

After listening to the two songs, there are definitely similarities but it's hard to pinpoint whether they are exactly the same. The tempo, beat, and even the piano melody are daringly close to one another which begs the question is this a case of plagiarism or just perhaps a coincidence? If it turns out the former is indeed the case, then it sure would be "Awkward"...

One netizen in particular noted the similarities in the chord progression, stating, "Oasis goes:CM7-B7-EM7-CM7-B7-EM7-D-BM/C# and Awkward goes:CM7-B7-EM7-CM7-B7-D/E-D-BM/C#."
