Comedian Ra Yoon Kyung is making headlines for her alleged battery against a couple of school parents with whom she had gotten into an altercation regarding the bullying that was going on at their children's elementary school.

Earlier today the Gyeonggi Seongnam Sujeong Police revealed that they have booked Ra Yoon Kyung and a 36-year-old female suspect identified as A without physical detention and have transferred their case to prosecution under suspicions of battery. 

At her residential apartment complex this past April 21, Ra Yoon Kyung is suspected of getting physically violent subsequent an argument she had with other parents about the bullying involving their children. 

According to an unnamed media source, on April 21, two parents had visited Ra's home to discuss the bullying that was going on at Seongnam's S Elementary School in a drunken state. Ra Yoon Kyung claimed that the two perpetrators had gotten violent by hurling a shot glass at her, spat a stream of expletives, and threatened her with the words, "I'm going to prevent you from leading the celeb life." 

This morning 'Herald Pop' released an exclusive report which contained updated information regarding the case that read, "Ra Yoon Kyung was a victim of battery, and the current case is awaiting mediation after being submitted to prosecution." Another source stated, "This is not an issue of bullying. The assailants didn't break into [Ra Yoon Kyung's] home but [they claimed] Ra Yoon Kyung invited them over. Rather, they were assaulted by Ra Yoon Kyung," summarizing what the police had said. 

The comedian vehemently refuted their claim, stating, "I never called them over first. Before coming to my house, they asked, 'Unnie, we have something to say about the kids. Can we come over?' and I said the victim's mom can come over, too, so we all gathered at my place." 

Ra Yoon Kyung further explained, "At the time of the assault, I didn't even have time to report to the police. The police were dispatched after complaints from neighbors. The police initially said that since I'm 100% the victim, I should just leave after getting treated, but when I was discharged from the hospital their words changed. They said I could be reported as an assailant. I was flustered when they told me I should come to an agreement [with the two parents]." 

Both Ra Yoon Kyung and A have submitted proof to prosecution of receiving treatments for concussions, the comedian for three weeks and A for two weeks. After investigating the case, police has sent the case over to prosecution for mediation.
