It was revealed that Olympic and World champion swimmer Park Tae Hwan made a visit to the local clinic in question after finding out that he had failed the doping test to express his complaints.

According to YTN News, Park Tae Hwan recorded the conversation between him and Dr. Kim, who was responsible for giving him the injections that resulted in a positive test for testosterone. In the said recording, Park Tae Hwan protested to Dr. Kim, "You said that there was nothing wrong with the injections." 

This recording was sent over to the prosecutors and has been analyzed. The assistant of the prosecutor said, "Before the controversy regarding the drug injection surfaced, Park Tae Hwan's statement on not knowing that the Nebido injections was one of the prohibited drugs is credible."

JTBC News Room also reported on February 5 that this was not the first time that Park Tae Hwan had recorded a conversation between him and Dr. Kim. Park Tae Hwan had also recorded the conversation that he had with Dr. Kim prior to receiving the injection, confirming that the injections would not have any affect in his doping test.

According to JTBC News Room, Park Tae Hwan revealed to have recorded the conversations because he was not familiar with medical terms.

However, it is still unclear if the doctor had given Park Tae Hwan the injection knowing that the drug was prohibited. Dr. Kim stated, "Last year in 2013, I gave the same Nebido injection to Park Tae Hwan and there were no issues back then."   

Meanwhile, it was reported that if Park Tae Hwan is confirmed to have used the prohibited drug intentionally, then not only will Park Tae Hwan lose the medal, prize money, and points he won from the 2014 Incheon Asian Games but his fellow swimmers who were part of the relay swimming event will also have them revoked.
