Amid the numerous negative interactions between bratty customers and helpless employees lately, it's nice to be reminded that there's still good in the service world. Recently, a female netizen posted a heartwarming story regarding herself and a delivery man, complete with text message screenshots and a picture of a three tier cake.

The netizen explains that she ordered a rice cooker from an online shopping website and then received a text regarding its shipment. The text informed her that her delivery would reach her in 17-19 hours. The netizen realized that she would be at work during the time of the delivery and texted back, requesting that the package be left in the boiler room. The delivery man replied with, "Okay, kind customer! Thank you for letting me know ahead of time! I will definitely do as you ask~ <3"

Touched by his kind response, the netizen then used the Korean phone service Gifticon to send the delivery man a gift voucher for 'Chocopie's. She messaged him, "Whenever you're hungry please eat one~." The delivery man replied, "Huk, going as far as this TT! Ah~ you didn't have to go to this extent�. I will receive your gift with a sincere heart! If there's anything wrong with the delivery please contact me." He also stated, "It's been five years since I've been a delivery man but this is the first time I met someone like you ^^. Anyhow, I'm in a good mood~<3."

The next day, when the netizen checked her boiler room for a package, instead of a rice cooker she found a three tier cake addressed to her. The delivery man explained in another text message, "Kind customer, we were unable to pack the rice cooker TT. As a token of my gratitude I picked this up on the way here; please enjoy it without any burden! I do this and that kind of work a lot! Hwaiting!" It seems that because the netizen's shipment was delayed, the delivery man gave her a three tier cake as an apology as well as a way to say thank you for the 'Chocopie's.

The netizen wrote, "This is the first time in my life I've ever received a three tier cake; it was really tall and pretty," and concluded with, "I hope that everyone who reads this will greet everyone they meet today warmly."
