South Korean activist wants to send North Korean citizens 100,000 copies of 'The Interview'

Buzz
Looks like 'The Interview' hype isn't quite over yet as it has been reported that South Korean activist Park Sang Hak will be attempting to send 100,000 'The Interview' DVDs and USBs to North Korea by balloon-mail.

Park is a dedicated activist who wishes to expose North Korean citizens to the anti-North Korea views of the outside world. He regularly sends North Korea materials by attaching them to helium balloons and sending them over by the border whenever the wind blows north.

Park now wants to use 'The Interview' to break the North Korean illusion that their leader Kim Jong Un is the perfect god they think him to be. He said to ABC News, "North Korea's absolute leadership will crumble if the idolization of leader Kim breaks down."

Park claims that the U.S.-based, non-profit organization Human Rights Foundation will be funding these DVDs and USBs which will contain the movie subtitled in Korean. Park plans on meeting the Human Rights officials on January 20 to receive the DVDs and USBs. The officials will then help Park attach the items to helium balloons and launch them over to the north. Although the Human Rights Foundation has yet to confirm this plan of action, they have helped South Korean activists balloon things over in the past.

Some question the effectiveness of this plan as it is believed that only a few North Korean families own computers or DVD players. Others worry that this might be a dangerous move as North Korea has opened fire against the balloons before back in October when the South Korean activists were sending over anti-North Korea pamphlets. The fact that Park wants to send over the controversial movie that provoked North Korea to supposedly hack into Sony Pictures Entertainment and make threats makes it even more of a crazy mission.

Will North Korea retaliate with more fire, or will Kim Jong Un just throw a tantrum a la 'The Interview'?
