Daycare center teacher charged with child abuse after throwing a 2-year-old to the ground repeatedly

Buzz
Last month, police received a report of child abuse at a daycare center in the city of Incheon. A teacher at the daycare center was accused of flinging a two-year-old child down to the ground multiple times.

In the video shown above, a CCTV clip of the incident can be seen. At the 0:21 mark, a daycare center teacher can be seen grabbing a child by his waist and throwing him to the ground. She throws him around repeatedly to the point that his legs start flailing. Another teacher can be seen grabbing a girl by her hair, dragging her, and pushing her to a mat on the floor.

Currently the two children from the clip are receiving treatment at a hospital for their psychological trauma. Both children are two years old.

The daycare center teacher explained that she was punishing the boy for refusing to participate during nap time and crying instead. It's probable that the girl was dragged away after staring at the boy being punished. The parents, however, suspect that this is not just a one-time occurrence and that the abuse had been habitual.

The daycare center teacher featured in the video has since resigned. The police are currently charging her with child abuse and are applying for an arrest warrant.

Netizens are outraged by this news with comments saying, "Reveal which daycare center this is, please," "I want to throw this person from a high height just like she did [to the 2-year-old child]. How scary it must have been for the child," and, "That kind of bitch was working as a daycare center teacher? I'd rather she just didn't work. Do you think a mom would send her child to a daycare center when you throw a kid around for not sleeping during nap time?"
