Abandoned puppy found in a yellow sack, in danger of being euthanized

A netizen has recently shared a heartbreaking story about a puppy he found in a yellow sack, and how the puppy may be in danger of being put to sleep.

Back on November 28, the netizen first made a post on an online community board saying, "Please help this pitiful, abandoned dog who was put in a sack by its owner." According to the netizen, while he was walking his own dog in the city of Bucheon, he saw a tied up yellow sack moving on the side of the street. Inside the sack was a puppy. The sack was tied up tightly and the puppy that was enclosed within the sack made no sound; it simply moved around, attempting to get out. The netizen called the police and waited with the puppy for the rescue team to arrive.

The puppy was then taken to the Bucheon Animal Shelter, however his stay was to be limited to just three days. The puppy, shown in the picture above, is a male mixed breed and is believed to be about 2-years-old.

The netizen asked the public to help adopt the puppy. He explained that he could not do so himself due to poor health at his old age. He also said that he already had a dog who had an aggressive personality, which would not match well with the shy personality of the puppy. The netizen offered to pay 50% of the puppy's vaccination costs and for his microchip insertion.

Despite the netizen's generous offer, on December 5, the same netizen updated with a post titled, "Adoption is inactive." In the post, he explained that although many people contacted him saying that they were initially interested in adopting, their interest was short-lived and they cut off contact. The netizen even contacted a number of animal cafes but came up with no results. In the end, the puppy was moved to the Bucheon Botanical Gardens. The puppy is scheduled to be put to sleep on December 8.

The netizen wrote in despair, "When the dog was in the sack and his moving subsided, I kept telling him, 'Just wait a little longer,' and, 'You can survive. Have strength.' But now that it's been decided that he will be euthanized, it looks like he won't be able to live for long."

The netizen stated that he wasn't very optimistic about the puppy's future, saying, "I'm still looking for adopters but things look gloomy." Some consider that because the puppy is a mixed breed and has a large size, people are reluctant to adopt him.

The netizen seemed to have some hope, however, as he stated, "I want to find a good owner so that this dog can live the rest of his life receiving warm love and being happy." With that, he asked for help from the public again, hoping that someone would be interested and actually follow through with adoption this time.
