Woollim Entertainment offered an update on their Lovelyz member, Seo Ji Soo, who they previously revealed was undergoing a lot of mental stress and trauma from the malicious rumors circulating the internet that she performed sexual assault and blackmailed others with nude photos. The agency had already stepped up to deny all claims that she had a romantic relationship with another girl, said such unspeakable words, and more while some netizens have pointed out that some of the photos online were photoshopped and others wondered what she may have done in the past to warrant such actions.
Currently, Seo Ji Soo is on hiatus and not promoting with her group, missing out on the debut showcase, debut stage, and more. On November 12, she was admitted to the hospital, and the agency offered an update on her second day as a patient.
The agency told Newsen on November 13, "Seo Ji Soo is also an admitted [patient] today (the 13th). She is connected to an IV, regaining stability, and doing her best. We are not allowing her to go on the internet or watch TV. We are taking care so that she does not get hurt from unnecessary rumors and talk. The agency reps are continuously talking to her and working to help her regain internal stability. She is improving bit by bit."
It is yet unsure when she will be discharged from the hospital. The rep stated that her face is pale and she has lost her appetite. Even during practices, she had allegedly been unable to keep steady, so she was ultimately unable to continue on.
Currently, the Mapo Police Station is undergoing the investigation and have requested a search warrant into the related portal site on November 12 for the purpose of securing the identity of the netizen circulating the rumors. After obtaining this warrant, the police can request the information regarding the netizens' ID and IP address for a specific suspect.
