Girl's Day recently recorded for KBS 2TV's 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook,' which will air on February 7 in Korea, and revealed that they had a very hard time because they succeeded later than all the other girl groups that debuted around the same time.

At the recording, the girls said that one of the biggest changes resulting from their greater popularity was more earnings.  They also talked about how their image changed a lot since debuting and how their appearances changed so much that they would be shocked when they saw past photos of themselves.

They also confessed that they went through a very hard time because they garnered attention much later than girl groups like SISTAR and miss A, both of which debuted in the same year as Girl's Day in 2010.  Well, all the hardship these girls endured was worth it because now the girls are doing tremendously well with "Something," earning trophies on music shows left and right!  Congratulations to the girls for these achievements.

I love it when groups from no-name agencies become big. It really is a milestone. Just like how Sistar did it for Starship. Girl's Day hwaiting! Daisy hwaiting!

@oceaas ;even stronger reason and chances for them not to succeed and yet they did...

ciindyvoo.

I would diiiiieeee if I got my hands on the EXO album omg. ;-; I'm never lucky at giveaways.

pink_oracle Friday, February 7, 2014

I'm glad for their success but personally I liked them better when they were fun and less focused on delivering a sexy image. ;

kpop28lover Friday, February 7, 2014

I'm not a big fan of Girls Day but I'm starting to like them more and more these days because you can actually see how hard they work and they're also humble. Hopefully they get even more popular then they already are now! :)

shineefxthebest Friday, February 7, 2014

I bet there are many girl groups which are having a hard time even now!Girl's Day,you DESERVE all the popularity you have now for your hardworking !

miss A. Sistar. Girl's Day. All awesome!

That is all.

futurekpopstar19 Friday, February 7, 2014

Fans need to stop hating on Girls Day!!!!!!! First of all, Sistar and Miss A have done sexy concepts many times so then if people call Girls Day sluts wouldn't u call Sistar and Miss A Sluts?! ;Sistar got popular after taking a sexy image. Miss A has been popular before their debut just because there are under the label JYP. ;They also changed to a Sexy image for example Hush and they also went down on the floor too if everyone remembers correctly. So stop acting as if Sistar and Miss A are better than Girls Day. For a group from a small company rising to fan without leaning on the name of a Big company is called DEDICATION. Girls Day deserves to win. I am NOT saying that Sistar and Miss A are sluts because honestly I like their songs too (but my bias is Girls Day:) and their dances. ;Look at this you guys made me write a whole damn 2 paragraphs, I don't even write this much in English class!!! Anyway, butPLEASE STOP undergrading Girls Day and focus on the good aspects of it. It hurts to see horrible comments about my favorite group because you would not understand unless they were your ultimate biases!

Girls Day Saranghae and Hwaiting

missaxinfinite Friday, February 7, 2014

That's not the reason I don't like Girls Day. I don't hate them. I just don't like them. I think it's their attitude that done it for me. Especially Minah. I still can't get over her rude behavior towards Min on Oh my school. And then the thing with Yura ; when she glared at suzy ... OOH. That was my final straw. And the "aegyo" thing they do? Makes me wanna puke.

shineefxthebest Friday, February 7, 2014

Omg totally agree with you!

futurekpopstar19 Friday, February 7, 2014

@missaxinfinite I don't want to start a fan war here. I'm just expressing my feelings as a Dai5y fan. Asking as we don't insult each other Biases we are good. Everyone have their right to their own opinion but some people take it extreme and call other sluts and such names that I don't like. I mean no disrespect.

futurekpopstar19 Friday, February 7, 2014

@missaxinfinite Sorry my bad. I meant * as long as*not asking. ^^

pandalolove Friday, February 7, 2014

@futurekpopstar19 Not starting a fight, but please get your facts straight. Miss A and SISTAR debuted with sexy and mature concepts and never tried any cute or girlish concepts. They aren't like the other groups who changed into sexy concepts just to get people's attention.

midnitem4re Friday, February 7, 2014

@pandalolove You say you are not trying to start a fan war, but you immediately make the accusation that Girl's Day is trying to garner attention by trying a new concept. If you listened to any of them speak about their new "sexy concept," they themselves have said that it was a strange and hard change. However, they managed. I wonder if you'd say the same thing if SNSD came back with a "sexy concept?" This isn't them "wanting attention," it's them maturing as idols. They can't be cute all their lives.

sanasn Friday, February 7, 2014

@missaxinfinite I totally agree with you on the Minah thing. Personally, I thought that she was quite rude towards Min with too much confidence in her kkap. But they explained with the Yura glaring thing. So only one I got a problem with in the group is Minah, but only because of the Min incident =~=

missaxinfinite Friday, February 7, 2014

@sanasn Yes. lol; Since my female bias group is miss A; of course I would get pissed when Minah said that and acted that way towards Min. I think that's one of the few reasons that some say A's do not like GsD. She straight out said that she thinks she's "better" than kkap queen Min in kkap AND variety. What the heck.

sanasn Saturday, February 8, 2014

@missaxinfinite I completely agree. Even if she 'tried' to be funny, she should have done it in a different way because the way she acted seemed like she was really arrogant and a bit too self-confident. I mean that by the way she acted and talked.

missaxinfinite Saturday, February 8, 2014

@sanasn i know. xD and she acts the same way in other variety shows.. not just in OMS. haha,@ all of the butthurt people downvoting our comments.

sanasn Sunday, February 9, 2014

@missaxinfinite If you are downvoting us, just because we say our TRUE opinions towards Minah, then you guys just can't handle the truth. Just because you are Dai5y fans, doesn't mean that your idols are perfect. Everybody has flaws that show itself. We just talk about how Minah seemed to us in the show and that's the only reason we dislike her. It's not like I say anything bad about the others. If you were objective you would see it yourself that it seemed as if she was arrogant about that skill. I mean Jo Kwon even acknowledge Min's skill, it's something she owns, part of her and to say you are better than her , probably one who kkap originates from, is conceited. See that your idols are flawed and get on with your lives. I know Miss A and my bias Suzy have their own flaws, but I accept them, I mean come on who is perfect. They are human, making mistakes proves that they are like any normal person. They just have something special that makes us love them.

sanasn Sunday, February 9, 2014

@missaxinfinite Oops llD sorry, I kind of got distracted. the answer I was meant to give you was that I agree with you, not that I saw too much of her since I tend to avoid the ones I don't like =w= and the first one was meant @ everyone who downvotes us for stating our opinions.

sanasn Sunday, February 9, 2014

@pandalolove Well, Miss A actually debuted with a more powerful and independent image rather than a sexy one. Wouldn't you count 'Breathe' as one of their cute songs? They like their independent and powerful image more though =w= Besides it's not like they do sexy all the time. 'Touch' and 'Hush' are more of their sexy ones though o3o

missaxinfinite Sunday, February 9, 2014

@sanasn I wholeheartedly agree with you. XD

sanasn Monday, February 10, 2014

@missaxinfinite Well, it's just my basic opinion :P People tend to dislike if they get to hear the truth that they don't want to admit =w= Also, if this shows double again, I got no idea why

pandalolove Friday, February 21, 2014

@midnitem4re Fyi, I wasn't accusing Girl's Day though. I never mentioned a group. I just don't know if it is you who's thinking about Girl's Day that way. And lastly, I like Girl's Day's sexy concept, so why would I accuse them?

14u_kiss Friday, February 7, 2014

I can feel how hard it was for them to be underraed...i'm glad that htey finally founf their place in the coutnry.. for future activity..Gilrs day hwaiting <3

minaee Friday, February 7, 2014

To be fair Girls Day had a hit with Twinkle Twinkle, and so many drama's were imitating the dance. It was like Bar Bar Bar in a way. I'm glad that they're so popular now, I've been following them since nothing Lasts Forever and they really deserve it~ ;

//although i do think girls who debuted in 2010 only get popular if they have 4 members-but that's just my opinion lmao// ;
