The past contestants picked the top three things that participants should avoid doing. 

On top of the list was mimicking other artists. They explained that the contestants will always be criticized if they sound similar to an artist. 

Second was singing original songs. Akdong Musician shared, "You should be careful with original songs that you're not sure about. We've been criticized about our original songs that we weren't confident with. Original songs aren't always the best choice."

Third on the list was lack of confidence. Park Ji Min explained, "You should have confidence and focus on your own performance and not worry about other contestants." Lee Hi also added, "If you think that the judges are your dad, uncle, and older sister, you get less nervous, and they'll see you as adorable." Akdong Musician commented, "The judges like people full of confidence."

'K-Pop Star 3' will hold auditions starting from August 17 until September 14 in various locales across the world, including LA, Atlanta, and Chicago.
