BoA�revealed that she had a hard time getting cast in dramas because of who she was.

She was a guest on the August 2 installment of SBS' 'Thank You', and she revealed all the hardships she had until she was finally cast into her drama 'Hope for Dating'. She said, "I had a lot of hard times until I was cast. People would tell me that they didn't want to cast me just because I was BoA."

She continued, "I actively pursued a lot of small roles. Every time, I was told that they were rejecting me because I was BoA. People think that singers get their acting roles easily, but I was rejected more times than not because of who I am."

She also said, "I got this drama ('Hope For Dating') after an audition, too. I'm going onto the drama as a rookie actor, but people see me as the singer BoA."
