The July 15 installment of Mnet's 'Beatles Code 2' aired unseen clips from various past episodes. On MBLAQ's episode, MC Shindong had mentioned to them, "I heard the MBLAQ members were all chosen through their connections..", and the boys admitted confidently, "Yeah, that's right."

Thunder clarified, "I didn't really join via a connection, but I got a bit lucky. There was an article that said that a group called MBLAQ was going to debut, but one member had left. So I suddenly became part of the group because I was a trainee that was next in line."

Seungho joked, "I came in through the school connections. That probably had some part to do with my joining." Lee Joon also mentioned, "My friend was going to audition and he said he'll show me Rain, so I tagged along and I was the one who ended up getting accepted instead."

However, Mir actually had the biggest connection! He revealed, "I was accepted because I was the chairman's brother in law. However, there are bad parts, too. I saw my brother in law's computer, and my name was on the nominees for getting cut. Blood connections aren't always the best."

G.O apparently was the sole member who came in through a 'normal' process, as he revealed, "I found out on the Internet that Rain was creating a new group called MBLAQ. I took part in the audition and got accepted to join MBLAQ."
