A comeback, teaser and debut... this has really been an insane day (or rather, night for those of us in the States)! Though SHINee's comeback has been anticipated for many months, the rise of the rookies MBLAQ & BEAST is grabbing the limelight and making fangirls' heartbeats stop. What's truly catching people's attention is the fact that both groups have gone head to head on a single night, literally debuting within one hour of each other. Both groups are releasing their mini albums today, and MBLAQ has already release the music video for its title track. I'm sure many of you are already comparing the two, but here are the two debuts for you so that you can check them out side by side on the same page. BEAST Live Stage Debut: Friday October 16, Music Bank With popular names like ex-Big Bang member SO-1 & AJ (now Lee Ki Kwang), B2ST BEAST has been highly anticipated since it was made known to the public recently. As we reported earlier, a representative stated, "The MTV B2ST program showed this group's pre-debut stories under the name B2ST. By changing their name to Beast, we are showing the improvement that they have gone through. My Dream listen now! ( more... ) Many have been looking forward to this group simply because it is under Rain's agency, J Tunes Entertainment. Although Rain is busy with his own music, style and dancing, he keeps in check with his boy group a lot. Furthermore, this group's got another celebrity connection: member Sang Hyun is 2NE1 Dara's little bro & was a last minute addition to the group. Of course, MBLAQ has a bit of an unfair advantage in this comparison with their MV & album release (thus far, we only have BEAST's title track), so I've posted the BEAST teaser as well. Make sure to give both groups the benefit of doubt. Of course, we won't be able to truly judge either group until their albums surface the net & they've both got at least one live stage performance under their belts; after the dust clears, we'll see where these two as well as all the other recent newbies stand.
