Ever since we reported that High Kick Season 2 (High Kick Through the Roof) was to return with a new storyline and cast, many fans have been anticipating further developments... and the wait is over! The first episode will be broadcast on September 7th - the series will also be shown in Japan after two months. With this international release, High Kick will become the first Korean sitcom to broadcast overseas. Green Snake Media commented that the Japanese feedback surrounding the first season had been positive, "They [would] watch the whole sitcom twice, so Kim Byung Wook PD was aware that the popularity in Japan was great." Because Korea and Japan take different views on sitcoms, it had been difficult for Korean sitcoms to gain popularity in Japan in the past. However, with High Kick Through the Roof broadcasting in Japan, the producers, Kim Byung ok and Kim Youngki, hope to break through that barrier. With many old cast members moving on with other projects, It seems like Lee Soon Jae will be the only actor from the original cast to return to Season 2 from the first series. So I guess it looks like there aren't any more eye candies like Jung Il Woo, Kim Bum and Hwang Chansung for you gals and Park Min Young and Shin Ji for the guys... right? Wrong! New eye candies await you. Singer AJ, actress Shin Sae Kyung (Princess Chun Myung from Queen SunDuk), and two cute little girls Seo Shin Ae and Jin Ji Hee will be casted in this 2nd season. Though we'll miss the old cast, many fans are anticipating seeing these familiar names on film.
