Sung Yuri and Lee Jin of ex girl group FinKL will compete with each other through their upcoming dramas. Sung Yuri's SBS drama, "Swallow the Sun," will air on July 8th and take up Wednesdays and Thursdays, while Lee Jin's MBC 10-episode horror drama, "Soul" will kick off a month later in August on Wednesdays and Thursdays as well. Sung Yuri will be playing the lead female role of "Swallow the Sun" as Lee Soo Hyun, a girl who goes to United States to earn money after her family is left in poverty. She involves herself in a love triangle when she meets the son of a wealthy family, Jang Tae Hyuk (played by Lee Wan), and impoverished orphan Kim Jung Woo (played by Ji Sung). As for Lee Jin, the horror image will not be too new for her, as she has already participated in horror dramas, such as a movie episode of "Hometown Legends" and even some of those old Banjun dramas. In her upcoming drama, Lee Jin will play the girlfriend of criminal psychoanalyst Shin Ryu (played by Lee Seo Jin). Not much is known yet about the drama, except that "the plot will focus on a girl who has a ghost who had been unfairly murdered living in her body and the drama also center on the lead's entrance examination problems. (DramaWiki)." While Sung Yuri's drama will focus on romance, Lee Jin's drama is to center around horror. I'm not sure if people will enjoy 10 episodes of horror, but as a fan of thrillers.. I'm excited! But with both summer hunk Lee Wan and womanizer Ji Sung casted under "Swallow the Sun," I may be leaning a little more towards the sunlight.
