Kim Jung Hoon Will Enlist on 28th April

Former UN member, Kim Jung Hoon (also known as John Hoon in Japan) who rose to fame with his Prince Yul role in MBC's Princess Hours in 2006 will be joining the army before the end of April. He received his enlistment notice recently and will be reporting to the 306 reserve army unit in Euijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province at 1pm on 28th April. Kim Jung Hoon (29) made his debut as part of the Korean duo UN (United N-generation) in 2000. The group disbanded in 2005 and Jung Hoon begun on his acting career instead of going solo as a singer. He subsequently rose to fame a year later, after his role in Princess Hours. He took on another drama Witch Yoo Hee in 2007 before ending all activities in Korea, choosing to focus on the more lucrative overseas markets. He released several single albums in Japan as he became a singer once again and also took part in a Hunan TV production called Love Strategy, starring opposite Vivian Hsu. The latter drama helped to widen his popularity base in China. Kim Jung Hoon spoke about his impending enlistment in a recent interview, "It's a pity that I won't be able to see my fans in the next 2 years. I will fulfill my military duties in the best way I can and then repay my fans with even better works after my release."
