SNSD hit 100k album sales for the 3rd time

SNSD has once again demonstrated that they are the best selling Korean girl group at the moment, after going over the 100k album sales mark for the third consecutive time.

After only a month of release on 29th June, the 9 member girl group has managed to rake up an impressive sales volume of 100,497 copies sold for their second mini-album, Tell Me Your Wish (Genie). And it’s still going strong.

This is their third time achieving this following their 1st album, Girls’ Generation and 1st mini-album Gee, and is a pretty phenomenal record considering that girl groups usually don’t do that well and even more remarkable with the industry in a slump.

    kay to be honest , the album sucks balls . i swear if it wasn`t for genie , i wouldn`t even look twice at this . and lol @ the hardcore fans that bought multiple amounts of this shizz ; i`ve got a question , where the fack do you get all the money ? as least spend it on something well .. worth it .

    The crazy fans here are just as stupid as the antis, lol. So ardently defending their precious dolls when there is no real factual/textual evidence. Just because this article appeared on allkpop doesn’t make it any truer than if I said it. The writer doesn’t even provide any concrete sources on where he/she got his/her numbers!

    Congratulations SNSD. I think they worked hard but i still don’t get the appeal. TO ME (only my opinion) only Gee and Genie are their good songs and only half of them can sing decently. And i also think SOME fans buying 3-4 albums is just stupid and a waste of money and takes away from the fact that they sold 100,000 (in my opinion). Are they going to listen to each song on a different CD? but whatever it’s their money…

    I really like snsd and other sm artists
    (THEY ROCK!!)
    And I think that it’s not tat fair to say that just boys and
    older men likes snsd (I’m a fangirl)
    Lots of my friends(girls) love snsd and their music(gee and genie)
    And I think that they are one of the best female girl group in Korea as no recent girl band have reached their record of selling that much album
    Although I like wondergirls, KARA and 2ne1, I must say it;s pretty hard to surpass their record and the triple 100k sales really prove snsd to be the queen of the girl groups.

    That’s right .. 100K for the third time. Last female group to hit 100K was SES and that was almost a decade ago. Until 2ne1 or another band does it, let’s not be comparing SNSD to them.

    just stating my opinion but i dnt like genie it’s not that gd compared to other songs i’ve heard from girl groups i think because maybe i’ve heard the beat they used too many times in different songs i’ve heard or it cud just be i’ve heard a lot better songs recently then genie
