2NE1 Debut Performance!
Finally, arguably the most highly anticipated debut performance of the year is upon us, and Allkpop is bringing it to you first! 2NE1 fans rejoice! You’ve waited with the same restlessness as a prepubescent teenage boy anxiously longing for his first proof of manhood. At last, the wait is over. Hair has sprouted in places once barren, albeit only 2 strands, but it’s enough for you to boast to your jealous brethren of the same fate. A certain round object has finally materialized and descended from the inside of your body dissipating the fear that you might actually be a girl born with an extra finger. However, was it all that it was cracked up to be? Was the years of anticipations, and the countless sleepless nights worth it?
YG made sure not to disappoint with their first girl group, and thus did not pull any punches for this debut stage. The performance was 6 minutes long with an accompanying intro video that was prerecorded at SBS Centre on May 15th. The intro video included individual dances by each member of 2NE1. As a testament to the amount of hype created for 2NE1, even though this is only their debut stage, 2NE1’s is already receiving treatments once only reserved for seasoned artists’ comeback stages. However, hype is a double edged sword. Did 2NE1’s Fire live up to the hype, or did they crack under the pressure? See for yourself.

2ne1 is the BEST!!! Like for people that saying that they only got popular coz of BigBang… I don’t think that’s true.. First of all I was never in to like Kpop-ish before… I don’t even know that such thing exists.. I just recently got hooked in to it (thanks to 2ne1) and actually stop listening to American music for awhile. LOL. Second.. I just got to know bigbang coz of 2ne1 as well. Lastly but not the least… All 2ne1 performances are so fierce and it always moves me.
