Hyeri apparently broke up in Dec 2023, so it's could be possible this Ryu Joon Yeol dated someone new in 2024 and has nothing to do with the breakup.
i feel the public will feel .. so he is exempt due to KNEE injury but than a few years later he will be dancing around on Stage.. isnt it strange?
i mean even Kim Heechul who had an accident from a car and had knee surgery also served in the service unit, so i guess when the public hear of his exemption, they will likely compare the 2 cases.
i feel why not assign him to a unit that doesnt need for him to use his knees as much, you know for example he can be assigned to the military band, and play something like a bass or guitar, where he can either sit down to play or stand. like Shinee's Key and BTOB Chang Sub.
I kind of have a feeling it won't last long.. given that in 2nd half of 2024 aespa has a concert tour and they will have little time to meet up eventually.. I guess it's okay these days for idols to have dating news once in a while.. I am glad some fandoms are supportive.
THE DAMN SHIPPING COSTS! In my case since I only but 1 album of an artist, the shipping costs are actually higher than the album, which is ridiculous.
This is why in the past, GD was the first artiste to try out not including a CD in his album but a USB stick and that USB stick doesn't even contain the MP3 songs but just a link/app to go download the song.
but back then in 2009, Golden Disk Awards said that because the album does not have the actual song but a link to a website to get the songs, it cannot be classified as a PHYSICAL album sale. And hence Heartbreaker was denied an nominee in the Disk Bonsang but only in the Digital Bonsang
but these days many agencies have various types of Albums..from Regular CD album to just photo cards only and some only have a photobook album.
For many groups, songs are getting shorter but album price is not dropping with it. Maybe I need some convincing that an album that's 2/3rds the length is still worth as much money.
The majority of the artists earning isn't from Album sales, the earnings from CF endorsement, concert tour, make far more than selling 1million copies of albums which is ard USD 11 or 14 each..
There are some celebs who pass all their $$ to their parents as they are young, some parents are good at management and will handle the huge amount of money well and even invest it.
while some parents will spend it and incur a debt and make all of their children efforts making millions turn to nothing.. after 7 or 8 years.. it's really sad.
I feel online concert for me as a overseas kpop fan is still important,
lets say there is 6 or 8 concerts in a year I want to watch, from IU, Taeyeon, maybe TWICE, RV, IVE, LSF, Aespa etc etc..
and Assuming all of them did come to my country and hold a physical concert, the cost to goto all of them in person is crazy even if i am working..it's easily over a few thousands even if I dun go for the best category tickets.
if half of it or all of it have online versions, I can opt to selectively go to 2 or 3 in person and buy the online tickets for the others.
and also some kpop groups seldom or never goto some countries like maybe in Middle East for example.
thr chance for the fans there to watch in person is almost nil unless they buy a air ticket to fly to another country and watch and pay accomodations also.
i feel the online ticketing benefits overseas fans more than fans in Korea
there can be dnas in Korea who are in remote areas and to them going to Seoul can be like 3 hours by bus, and to and fro is far too long a journey..and prefer to watch online.
I agree with the criticism that the prices should at least allow viewers to rewatch on demand. Frequently, the time and date of the original broadcast is inconvenient -- but if the re-air time slot is just as inconvenient, why would I pay the high fees?? It's online, it's already been filmed... just let me watch at it my own pace! Bonus, then your servers won't crash all at the same time.
The problem is even if they have a rewatch..most fans prefer to go it live.. it's like watching a football match live or like 12 hours later or 2 days later when you hear everyone talking about it.. it takes away the joy when you watch it later when you read about the highlights or hear what it.
I think partly the price of concerts in Korea is lower.. so for 50k W of USD 37 online they can easily go in person for like double the amount or so..
but for physical concerts in overseas, we face the issue where a Cat 1 ticket can be like 150 USD or so..3x the amount
also the argue that they can rather go in person, but let's say for Korea the largest venue for concert can hold 50,000 ppl only 50k ppl can go to the concert in person, so a 2 day concert is around 100k if sold out
so if the agency do a online version at the same time AFTER selling out 2 days..
it will allow maybe 100k fans to watch in person, and maybe 500k more to watch online in Korea and maybe 2mil overseas if the group is super popular.. so the revenue is much higher. If both physical and online is combined.
It seems like a waste of money to redo Batter Up .. why can't they debut BM in Feb 2024 with Batter Up as 7 and record it as 7 in 1 go.. I mean now they need to shoot the MV again with 7 or is this just a re-recordinf with 7?.
It's funny how many errors
the list say Seowon is born 2011 while Yoona (her name is spelt Yunah), is 2009
theh it says the youngest Yunah is 2011.
so confusing to many
Yes Seowon is the youngest, she is born 27 Jan 2011,
she will be 13 next week on 27 Jan 2024.
Plus the age gap has gotta make it uncomfortable for her in general. 23 vs 13? That's a college grad and a 7th grader.
Technically the youngest will turn 14 on Jan 27 ..2024 next week so yeah it's consider 13 at the point of debut this week. But by the time they debut with the first album, she would be 14 already
I saw some comments, ppl were asking to vote for the "eldest" in the group at 2001, so she can be the leader and/or mommy of the group.. seems like she was picked just to be the care taker.
She is a wife of rich actor now
Her husband is also a CEO of a actor agency..
I feel it's probably coming out in February?? Hope so .
What's the show about anyway?
Well I feel sometimes ppl like to create issues so they will be remembered more.. you can see now ppl like remember her name more than the other 3 girls
"We were not able to spot the audiences taking illegal photographs as they were sitting in blind spots."
what kind of bullshit statement is that?
Meaning they probably were low on manpower also, it's during the year end, probably not easy to hire more ppl to control such things and also ...costs..
Yes but Kenzie and YYJ does still write for many of its artistes... I am curious to find out if aespa has indeed abandoned it's Kwangya crap and Naevis and Ae-avatars for good.. I believe so but some ppl say it's not yet.
i remember Karina said she dun want to answer any questions on Kwangya anymore.. it's a nightmare awoken..
its just strange to see them sing about it when they perform the older songs like Girls, Next Level, and Black Mamba.
at least they stopped saying "Be my Ae, we are aespa"
SM has been remaking more of their old songs instead of pushing more original music. I hope they start back with making original music soon.
Yeah I think partly cos SM big hit maker "Yoo Young Jin" also left SM when Lee Soo Man did, so I would say while Kenzie I think is still with SM, they probably need to find composers or buy songs from other composers.
It's a SM Station project, so it's not technically their album or single, but I am surprised SM will do a remake of a YG song, Previously SM has done remakes of HOT "Candy" with NCT, and SES "Dream come True" for Aespa, and also SES "Be Natural" for Red Velvet.
but they were all old SM songs, to see SM taking a YG song to do remake for a SM group it's unusual.
Showing what a change of New management can bring about...
3 male hosts? how unusual
the thing i find sad is during OCT/NOV/DEC, we (meaning kpop fans) are usually hyped up for awards shows or year end shows and any collabs and special stages.
then when they happen, we go online and complain about technical issues, how it could be better, how lousy this and that is..
then after all that is over, comes all the list of apologies from celebs and such for not doing as well and such. like Miyeon i dunno why she needed to apologise for her singing nervousness and such.
its like come on, Cant we all learn to be more ACCEPTING to mistakes.. unless its a SERIOUS one that harms someone or an accident.. i find some of us, netizens or k-netizens etc,.. are so into this "Must complain and Grumble"
I hope 2024 has more love and encouragement and more "its OKAY not to be OKAY" things.. i really hope no more end of Year Mishaps in 2024 and beyond.
it depends on who call for the cancellation, right now the organizer is at a point where if you call it cancel, without the govt doing it, the responsibility of paying the penalties and the losses will be incurred by the organizer, if the cancellation is due to a national disaster and the govt declared an emergency, then the losses can be consider not due to their fault and they can push it to the insurance company to pay the losses.
so right now Japan govt has not asked for ppl not to come nor has they said its too dangerous, if the KPOP agencies decided to pull out, then KROSS will say tats your choice, and pay me the cancellation fees.
So right now, no one wants to be the one to call CUT, and pay.. so it goes on as usual.
YG can say whatever they want. it's just propaganda imho :D
yeah whatever, but since aespa is in their 4th year in 2024, which is past the half way mark of their 7 year contract, it is possible SM is launching another girl group, to have 3 active girl group, RV, Aespa and the new one.
JYP has TWICE, ITZY, Niziu and NMIXX also all active currently. and their concepts and music styles are different so they dun overlap, maybe the new girl group will be of a new music style, "hip hop?" lol
usually i dun think SM does hip hop, but this is the new SM that dun have Lee Soo Man, and Yoo Young Jin the major song writer also left, so i think music wise there may be changes in SM.
don't think it was ever officially confirmed by sm. just a lot of rumored talk from media sites like these making shit up. Lol.
https://www.nme.com/news/music...
They include a new NCT sub-group, a boyband and a girl group
At the end of the video, Jang then revealed SM Entertainment’s plans to debut a brand-new girl group in the fourth quarter of 2023. “Trainees introduced in the March 2023 showcase will be a part of this new group,” he added, but did not specify which trainees have made the cut.
---------
so the new SM CEO (Jang Cheol-hyuk) during 24 May 2023, did say SM has plans to debut a BRAND New girl group in the 4th Quarter of 2023, but since it didnt happened, maybe it was delayed or maybe SM postpone the debut because they dun want to clash the debut with YG's Babymonster.
they did debut a boy band (RIIZE) though
FIFTH gen? come on...how can fifth gen start already..4th gen has only been around for like 4-5 years.
Each gen should have two sets of debut eras...so it's early x gen and late x gen.
5th gen started WHEN YG or whoever called Baby Monsters 5th gen.. i didnt say it started.. lol.
During early 2023, SM said they have plans to debut a new girl group in Q4 of 2023, it seems it did not happen so maybe the debut was delayed to 2024 instead. Their new 5th gen gurl group?
i wonder which agency will take in Artistes WHO SUE their former agency, imagine other agencies might be thinking if they can sue ATTRAKT, then who knows they might sue them again after they joined.
I never understood why ppl want to take sex videos of themselves and their partners in the first place, to watch it again?? Why do something and then worry if it will get released? It's like you are creating a content that could potentially ruin you and your partner.
i see some cases the bf ask the gf to take nude photos of her to send to him..and she does it because she worry he won't like her if she dun.. and then when they break up, he has all the nude photos of her and threaten to release it.
she literally just handed him something that could ruin her.
