I wanted to ask this explicitly to non-korean kpop fans. For me, nope, no, absolutely not. Firstly, I love living in my country too much, the facilities, the food, culture. Secondly, Korea just doesn't seem like the place for me. Especially since some people are xenophobic. Being Chinese, I could still fit in pretty ok (wait but THAAD) , but I could never rest easy knowing that if I was African or Muslim or Malay or anything it would be different. I mean, I understand that not all Koreans are like that, but I also wouldn't be able to deal with the overall expectations korean society usually has. Alternatively, if you live in Korea (are there any people here that do?) Would you want to move to Korea if you were a foreigner?

    God no
Work and school there is aweful and their society is very focused on looks and appearances.
There's a lot of homophobia as well and Korea seems to not really like foreigners

    Hahaha no.

With that being said, I think this was posted in the wrong section of the forum

Honestly I'd say hell no, but looking at my own country, Korea is a lot better to live in. So I'd rather live in Korea than stay where I live.
Other than that, nope, Korea is perfect for visiting, but living there is too hard.

Maybe, I'd probably test the waters first tbh. A visit for a month or two before I make any decisions.

but i wouldn't wanna live there forever..

    i don't think i wouldn't fit into society tho'.
just i wouldn't wanna live that far away from home.

No thanks, I'm perfectly happy with the work ethics where I live, working 40 hours/week without living in fear that my boss would verbally (or possibly physically) assault me.

I would like to visit, but not live. Society, in my view, is very focused on appearances and visual. I prefer to stay in my country.

Would love to visit! But I don't think I'll blend into Korean culture enough to want to stay there permanently.

No. Nope. No way. Hell no.

The only thing that entices me about Korea is kpop and kpop isn't enough to put up with all of the many negatives of their conservative, judgemental society.

    1. It's too close to North Korea. I'd genuinely be afraid of another war happening and I don't want to be anywhere near that.
    2. Employment is difficult to find, highly competitive, stressful and demanding. No thank you.
    3. Korean men are nothing at all like how they're portrayed through media. I don't want to end up with some guy who wants a free maid. Also his family is most likely going to be a nightmare.
    4. Korean citizens are openly judgemental about everything. Looks, weight, job, wealth, academics, ethnicity, sexuality... I'd lose my mind having to put up with that.
    5. General Korean society would probably make fun of my interest in kpop. I already get that here so why go there for it?

No , definitely no. I don't want to live in a place where I know that people are constantly judging me for my skin colour and are making fun of my looks. Not that Indians don't do it but these days people are more accepting here. I don't know when they'll be accepting in Korea(Just look at what's happening to Kyla). :sketchyk::(:(:(:(
