Morbidly obese people who park their asses and eat junk get stuff like :

    You go girl

you dont have to lose weight just because people tell you to

You're so confident I love it

Skinny people who are perfectly healthy and satisfied and eat to their heart's content get hit with :

Omg she's flaunting her slim figure such a show off

I'm genuinely worried for her she looks sick

She needs to eat more and worry about her image less

and also stuff like only slim toned people being featured as models instead of fat people

Like wtf. They are models because they are in physical prime who work hard to get there and maintain it which is what a 'model' should be. Not an unhealthy snacker.

bc being obese and not caring is easier than eating healthy and exercising to stay fit

being bigger doesnt always mean unhealthy.

They do need more thicker models in general. Being skinny shouldnt be a norm for everyone.

I wouldn't say skinny shaming is becoming worse than fat shaming but in general shaming just shouldn't be tolerated from either side.

Not all "obese" people are unhealthy.

Not all "thin" models are healthy.

However, models were extremely unhealthy and many had eating disorders where death was almost always guaranteed...it is one of the reasons why countries such as Spain banned anyone who was modeling and weighed less than a healthy amount from being used as models.

And lets not equate skinny shaming to fat shamming...they are not equal. Fat shamming still remains higher on the shamming spectrum...from being denied a flight seat, from being denied entry to certain places like clubs...for being denied a modeling contract etc....

You can get away with being slim than being fat.

this is such an internet thing

if you really think skinny people get more shit than fat people, you need to go more outside and i say that as a person who was skinnyshamed

besides, i often see people defending this idea that every idol is naturally skinny. sorry but you have to be delusional to think that. i'm not talking about people who are naturally skinny like sunmi, that's perfectly fine and her body type is beautiful, but clearly some idols are pushed below where their body feels comfortable. that's not to say you should attack said idols, i am completely against that. rather, something needs to be done to make idols and the public feel comfortable with their bodies at whatever healthy range exists for their body. more than anything people should just stay away from disecting idol bodies and mind their own business.

It’s bec you don’t see them in real life, I see girls who wants to model and are just starting out on campus all the time and let me tell you they’re skinny.
Size 0-3 on a 5’9-6’0 body frame is very small.

    I don’t think so
When someone is skinny they say “ they should take care of themselves “ “ eta more please “ etc
But in fat shaming it’s all the disgusting stares and words

idk what to say....i experience this every day because with every kg i lose i look 10x skinnier (yes with just 1 kg)
people come to me and say 'oooh did you lose weight again?? :cryingk:' and i'm like shut the fuck up it's not like i'm proud of being skinny

btw i'm not saying that being skinny is bad but i personally don't like it

I see this similarly with Feminism. A good idea in theory, but people got lost along the way and turned it into something I don't like.

For example all these drawing of stuff like: If Disney princesses had realistic bodies!
The drawing makes them chubby and gives them tattoos... Why would a mermaid who swims around all day be fat? Why would an indian girl who works on the fields and runs around all day be chubby?

I think fat-shaming is good in the right situation in the right context. If somebody is fat due to medical reasons pr of somebody just has bigger bones then it is not OK to do that!

But if somebody is just overweight due to overeating and/or not exrcising, they should be fat shamed. They should be made aware that what they are doing is bad for themselves and that they should get off their ass lose weight.

Same with being skinny. If you are skinny because oyu just naturally are or you are sick or something. Don't shame 'em! If they are skinny because they think weighing 40 kg at 170cm is the perfect weight, they need to get shamed so they realize how wrong they are!
