Except they didn't mismanage miss A or WGs The reality is neither group had the Album Sales that other GGs had during that time. miss A and WGs didn't lack in not being promoted because they were rather the reality is, that their Hit Songs couldn't convert into Album Sales.
Probably don't know how to handle solo careers for their female idols. WG it was mainly Sohee and Jack all for the others, miss A it was min initially then Suzy took over and Jack all for the rest. Compare to lots of other labels which can have 2, 3 or more idols with solo activities per group. It's really weird
Just please let Twice focus on solo promo in 2021, I love them as a group but it’s not sustainable and I wouldn’t care if they only had one or two group comebacks next year.
JYP just has a bad luck with his girl group solo activities and it scarred them. It's almost as if always only one member can be successful and the others ones are the underdogs. Like someone else mentioned. Wonder Girls had Sohee as a really successful actress and it girl then once she left Sunmi blew up with her solo and became the new Sohee of the group. And then in Miss A jyp pushed Min to become popular but instead Suzy blew up and the rest became underdogs. In 15&, baek yerin became a popular singer and jamie solo music never became as popular as hers.
JYP are like those parents who helicopter parent one child but ignore the other the ignored is the BG and helicoptered is GG.
Blaming it on Miss A is makes no sense when across the board, JYP failed all their girl groups. Only 2 members of WG got decent promotions and Sunmi made it clear she didn't like how he treated her. They all left. Very low efforts in promoting the Miss A members, even Suzy who kept the lights on, barely had anything done for her after she renewed her contract. They all left. 15& barely 10 songs and both the girls had to publicly beg for them to release their work. They left. Baek A Yeon left. Clearly JYPE is the problem and always has been, even before Miss A

JYP doesnt want another suzy-missA situation, which are - he doesnt want any twice member to become like suzy, where she can shining by herself without any JYP labels behind her, and left the company to reach higher stage of her career - he want them to become the rest of missA , in order to shine they need to renew contract with JYPE , profit y'all got less than 2 years to fix that, goodluck
lol jyp's strategy sounds completely different to yg's where yg actually encourage individual works when the group's still pretty much active like jennie and rose's solo, i think this is really visible when you look at bp that imo they're branded as diverse individuals put in one group while twice is better to be seen as a group rather than individuals, maybe itzy will be different this time
Sohee never acted when she was active as wg member. She filmed a movie predebut and then started acting when wg was inactive, years later Sunye and Yeeun had solo OSTs, they also had individual variety shows Yubin also collaborated with some artists and such That's more than twice members have gotten since the start of thier careers
also did yall forget about JYP having Yubinas a soloist? like from WG? he promoted her AWFUL and she had the potential (still does) to become a main kpop solo girl. its not just Sunmi, Sohee, and Miss A. he did Yubin dirty, too.
