We always hear jokes about JYP snubing trainees who later become very big. SM also have some notable trainees who shined in other agencies. But YG? Can't think of anyone except Hyunseung.

Anyway, the reason I made this thread is not to "ShAdE Yg aS aLwAyS" but because former YG trainees who were trained to become next 2ne1 got this results in Produce 48.

G-IDLE Miyeon is successful, Pentagon Hongseok is doing fine, and they were both in YG.

there's a reason why no effort was made by YG to keep them.

You say it’s not to shade YG but really you’re pretty transparent don’t you think?

We'll see. They have their chance after their recent success but who knows how far it'll take them.

But they're not complete flops like the other trainees who faded into obscurity or had to resort to a survival show.

Well considering how difficult it is to become an "A lister' in the industry, I'd say they're doing fine

i mean you’re pretty much wrong and miyeon and hongseok are living examples

you may not think that miyeon and hongseok are successful bc they aren’t “alisters”
but do you expect them to be at top group level when they recently debuted from a semi nugu company?
i’d say the fact that the two groups are charting on melon is accomplishment enough

One of them trained for 7 years.
I am simply comparing with JYP and SM. With those two or without they are barely a match.

Who made it big after leaving JYP ? the only one I can think of is Hyorin of sistar. but how do you know Miyeon won't make it big like Hyorin? she just debuted 2 month ago.
And former SM trainee who made big? I would like to be educated. ps, don't tell me GD(former sm trainee)....

no it means they're better at evaluation and\or treat their trainees better. if a lot of trainees leave a company and successfully debut elsewhere that's not a good thing for the company losing trainees.
