who is the summer queen and the runner up for 3rd gen ?

Red Velvet is number 1 but for spot 2 I'll have to say Twice. DTNA is a huge summer hit.

Probably RV is the closest one, but there is really none that did it like Sistar.

 

#1 would obviously be Red Velvet.

#2 would be Gfriend imo. Along with the songs you've listed, Sunny Summer didn't deserve to be slept on, and they have Fever too.

Sistar though are unmatched.

people are about to disagree with me, but for number 2 i would say BP, most of their iconics comebacks and bsides came in summer time. Yeah, maybe they don't what summer songs sound most of the time but were the biggest hits of summer. Whistle, AIIYL, HYLT, IC and would add Dx4 and Forever Young but they missed out for like 6 days. All of these songs had been huge hits during summer

 

I like how everyone knows Sistar remains the undisputed queen.

I would say AOA after Sistar though, not just Heart Attack but also songs like Good Luck and Bingle Bangle. Followed by Girls Day maybe?

3rd Gen it would be Red Velvet but no other groups really tried to continue the summer concept consistently like them. I would say Gfriend with songs like Sunny Summer/Fever/Love whisper.

Y’all might come for me at this but Oh My Girl, they had songs like Remember Me/Bungee. Nonstop might have come out earlier in the year but the longevity of it almost made it seem like a summer hit

 

Red Velvet deserves #1 for 3rd gen.
TWICE for me is #2. DTNA according to the locals were HUGE and also back in 2017 Likey also hit hard although it wasn’t released in summer I would call it a summer song.

 

3rd gen doesn't have summer queens cause nome released summer hits constantly like Sistar but the closest would be RV. I don't think groups that only released one summer hit or released songs in the summer that doesn't have summer vibe should be a runner up.
