I'm not surprised that people picked the most popular groups. Oh well.

They'd all be past the 7 year mark, so most will flop because they'll be disbanded.

I don't see Seventeen lasting that long because Pledis is lousy and there's SO many members. By that point if they exist at all, it'll be in a different form. A solo or two, and a subgroup. Their sales will probably be decent for some songs, and some not so great.

Mamamoo might go into Brown Eyed Girls territory where comebacks are rare, and it's mostly solos. Results will probably be mixed between hits, moderate successes, and disappointments.

I don’t think anyone of them will flop. I just think eXO and Bts will go on hiatus in the next 4-6 years. Seventeen and ikon are surprisingly young. The GGs will be fine. Twice may work more on solo projects like GG. BP is up in the air. Gfriend may also go a GG route. Mamamoo could work more on solo projects with how they’ve been doing solos. Do you want these groups to flop or something??

The boy groups will be fine, most of the girl groups will be disbanded/'inactive'
Gfriend and Mamamoo will still be active but not as big, BP is gonna suffer a similar fate as 2NE1 cuz yg is trash, twice will keep going until they sizzle out at some point

Maybe not flop but I can see the older groups' decline in popularity.

4-6 years is a long time in Kpop world. Many fresh and young idols debut every year. Also those listed groups are already few years old, in 4-6 years their contract would have ended already. Only few might expand their contract for 3 more years, maybe with some lineup change. More successful ones will prefer solo career or acting instead of sticking with old declining group.

For BtoB, you underestimate the love that Korean people have for ballads :fingerk:

Popularity wise? New group rises, old group step down of course.
Musically wise? I can only say Mamamoo, BTS, & iKon still be relevant, because B.I is such a good producer and Mamamoo has already been on artist's route. BTS, if stay away from fame, can produce gems. I don't follow other groups that much (even my opinion on iKon&BTS are based on their discography only)

4 to 6 years? Most of them will be a memory. Very few Kpop groups have any real longevity, even the popular ones.

BTOB will maintain their popularity but it wont rise. Some of their songs are a bop aka missing you but the rest are eh... It will decrease in the future of course just like all groups decrease but their popularity wont rise. its fine tho, their current popularity is fine and it will last time for a long time. I think they'll only be popular in Korea and a little in Japan. They'll have a hard time getting popular internationally. Also, its time for the members to start serving in the military so it'll be interesting to see their popularity and how it will either stay the same, rise or decrease during the next couple of years. this is just my opinion.

all your threads don’t make sense, sometimes you’re supporting a group and sometimes you’re not.

4-6 years is such a long time though, Bigbang and SNSD still ruled the world back then, BTS and EXO were rookies, nobody would have thought 2NE1 would end, BP and Twice weren't formed yet. How many fans even remember the groups from those days? Not a lot of people listen to Beast/Highlight, After School, T-ara, Infinite any more.
