You know, groups that are or were pretty big, but don't get enough credits for it, most of the time being forgotten when top groups are mentioned
people might drag me for this but blackpink.... i can't count the amount of times people have downplayed their achievements or straight up lie about them not having certain achievements that they actually do
KARA and Brown Eyed Girls. They were some of the top groups around 2009-2011 and nobody talks about them anymore.
I'd agree with BLACKPINK before THE ALBUM era, but I think now it's impossible to not recognize them as the biggest girlgroup in the world out there
GFRIEND. People tend to overlook their accomplishments because they aren't considered a "top group" anymore. Apink. They are literal trailblazers in the K-pop industry, and they don't get enough credit for what they've managed to achieve in their nine years (and counting) as a group.
ukiss!! they hit it SO big in japan but people just call them nobodies because korea didn't have the same love they set a lot of records in japan and are signed to one of japan's top recording labels. They also went against the grain (at the time) and made japan-specific songs, rather than recycling korean songs into japanese. But people just like to go "nugu?" because their korean agency is trash
Right? People be like Sistar has poor physicals but they got like 9 No. 1 hits + Soyou have 2 No. 1 hits + Hyolyn has 1 No. 1 hit + Sistar19 has 1 No.1 hit makes a grand total of 13. Their digitals were so huge it's like their physicals don't even matter. Even groups like AOA/Girl's Day/Secret/miss A/4Minute had their fair share of huge hits
