What’s your definition...

i wouldn’t say this is a “fake fan” but those who don’t take the time to listen to their whole discography. now i’m not saying to listen in a whole day but at least get familiar with their albums and other works they’ve done

 

I don't know if I'm that important to tell who is a true or fake fan. But I don't like people who throw their faves under the bus to protect others in fanwars. Also, I don't like people who don't, at least, respect all the members of the group

 

I don't spend much time giving a shit about if someone is a real fan or not, but to me a fake fan is someone who uses their "fan" status to dodge criticism when they nonstop hate, shade and uncontrollably bash everything the group or performer does, then y'know I am not an anti, I am a fan so I can say it

then again, even then, idc much, tho the backhanded comments are annoying

 

Gatekeeping in fandoms is dumb. Especially when it comes to material things. Some people cant afford to buy 500 of the same album. It does not make them a fake fan.

 

I'm not one to gatekeep who is a fan and who is not a fan. I particularly don't like akages, especially if they don't appreciate the rest of the members as a whole. If they're just minding their business and focusing on their fave member then it's fine, but when they cross the line and hate on a different member because idk they got more lines than their faves when they're going into the block list and I don't want to care about them.

I am open to criticizing my own fandom because I do recognize there are a lot of bad ones in there and will not defend them.

 

to me, fake fan is a success fan, they only like a group if the group is successful.

 

I think the fake fan question can be quite toxic in both ways so I don't really title people like that.

 

Toxity is always present in fandoms, I mean you'd be fool to think your fandom isn't atleast 10% toxic.

As for fake stan card, idc how much they listened to their songs or how well they know the members, if they use their stan card to bash other groups or try to make the fandom look worse then yeah thats a fake stan in my eyes

 

Someone who acts like they are a fan but deep inside they know they aren’t they don’t really like that artist or that artist’s music.
