So I finally got around to watching VIXX's "Shangri-La" and Twice's "Signal." I'm not a Once, but when a group releases something new, I'll watch because I want to see what's out there. I went into this video with an unbiased opinion. After watching "Signal" I have one question: Why all the hate? It seems like the video and song got a lot of backlash and negative reviews. Either the song sucked and the video was meh, or the song was flat and the video was horrible. I watched both. Song was okay. Nothing cringy to run away from or turn it off in the middle. The video + song just seems like someone trying to talk to someone else but they're like an alien from another planet. Communication issue. This could be like talking to a guy/girl you like that won't notice you. I could go into a deeper theory but that might be reading too much into the song. From how people talked about it, I expected something juvenile and badly produced, or over-the-top nauseatingly cute but boring. It was none of that. Compared to other groups, Twice is still a new group and has lots of time/room to develop and grow into something amazing. Their career is still new.
