No, I'm serious...They literally just cram information in our minds to memorize, later to be forgotten...
They say that it prepares us for the future, how? I mean... School was made for people to work in factories. The school system hasn't changed in my opinion.

The education system exposes us to a lot of information and helps build a foundation for information you will need for tons of careers. I'm not saying the current education system is perfect, because it is far from it and has some serious issues (like implementation of standardized tests but I won't get into that). But it's also really valuable in a lot of ways.

To teach children rules. Later on what @PrestonGarvey said... Although what OP is referring to only really applies to undergrad and pre-college, as in earning advanced degrees, one is required to know what they are talking about since most grad classes is based less on lectures and more on talking about what has been read and the implications of such things... At least w/in social sciences.

Edit: Plus many exams are essay based, which requires one to know what the topical information fairly well. This is true of both undergrad and graduate courses. There are still things I can recall from History 132, because of the way the class was formatted. That and HIST 371--Far East Civilizations... I can still remember tenents of the Meiji Restoration.

School is important. It teaches you the basics. If no one sat down and taught you the alphabets, you wouldn't even be able to read or write the language. Also, depending on what you want to do in life, school can be very important. For example, for my job, you need to have an in-depth knowledge of statistics and financial math along with income tax act and GAAP/GAAS standards. If not university, where would you even go to learn all this? And, to be able to even begin to understand the university content, I do need to have the foundation from high school. That's why I had to study calculus and other economics and business courses. Maybe when you are young, it seems useless but I would not be where I am had I not gone to school honestly.

I could count and read books before I entered kindergarten... Of course not everyone is as intelligent or curious but only elementary school is necessary imo... I was one of the top students in middle/highschool but I ended up forgetting most stuff, nor did it get me much further in life

I am pro-education, I just disagree with the system, a lot

Different countries have different education systems. I genuinely have no complaints about Canada's education system.

All kids are different and need different treatment, they forget that tbh... My country is supposed to have one of the best education systems in the world, yet we all complain about it (don't believe the media lolol)

I totally support education because it can equip a person with better life skills and improves an individual's quality of life. I know that students have a lot of paper works and exams but it teaches us how to overcome all obstacles. I remember that time when I had to write good expository essay at https://essaypro.com/blog/rhetorical-analysis-essay/ in a week and I couldn't sleep the night before an exam. I think with a proper education, you are more likely to become financially stable in the long run.

Depends, even now that it's done I can say my high school was mostly a waste of time. However, I don't feel the same way about my uni now because I am learning something that I am interested in, both at home and at uni. Uni helps to direct me of what I should learn and in what order, I can also consult my professors if I don't understand something. I am learning by myself at home as well, I don't think that what I am studying can be learned entirely at uni alone but it still helps a lot when it comes to directing me as to what to learn.

but as for (high)school mine too was mostly waste of time is how i felt at the start and still feel

Nobody should be forced to learn what they dont like.

School should focus on making the best students into teachers, and guide the others ways into tech schools.

Education is very important for our lives because it teaches us ethics and let us grow. Education has importance in everyone's life. In education many students need to write essays for this they hire an essay writing service.

education is important, but the system should change

i don't want to study half of my subjects, most especially that they don't have a huge impact to my career
