It feels like Super Junior was their main breadwinner from 2009-2012. They won 3 disk daesangs during that span.
Duh. They were the group for years. At their peak SNSD were SM's best digital group, best physical seller, most famous group, most awarded group, endorsed the shit out of anything and everything and so on all in one neat little package. Their extreme versatility meant they had an mega strong appeal out side music such as TV, radio, acting to the point SNSD were more like a mini entertainment industry than just another popular group like everyone else. Can't get more flagship than that
SJ made more money and had better sales and bigger tours but SNSD were the more loved group by the public so they were indeed the flagship group I guess
I don't follow boygroups much, but I still feel Girls' Generation was a bit more of the face and image of SME for a long time more than Super Junior was. But if that means they was "the flagship" of SME I don't know.
Not like Twice is for JYP. TVXQ and Suju had damn crowed tours and Suju's sales sometimes beates SNSD's but the girls were more loved by the GP for sure
