There's a genre in Vietnam that doesn't really have a name, but everyone knows what it is. It's like, "common people" music. But people that do this genre is usually highly sophisticated lyrically. Usually, Vpop lyrics are poetic and utilizes high vocabulary. However, this style of music features lyrics that sounds like you're talking conversationally, making it feel both relatable and interesting. And most of these have really deep meanings in lyrics and extremely catchy tunes. A new one came out by Bui Caroon, and the song is amazing, imo. This genre, however, is closely associated with a Vpop singer, Truc Nhan, who, imo, is a music genius in terms of both lyrics and tunes. He's also known for his powerful voice. Here's a song that fuses modern tunes with traditional Vietnamese music. Probably one of his most famous songs. One of his only MVs. This song directly criticizes the entertainment industry. A song of similar style by Bich Phuong. This song went viral due to her facial expressions throughout and the relatability. The song is about how everyone wants her to get married, but she doesn't wanna. Speaking of Bich Phuong, here's another of her song that was famous for the soft ballad and the gorgeous 70s-80s style in Vietnam, which showcases Vietnamese material culture. Speaking of culture, Hoang Thuy Linh made a song that was basically a remix of a popular 18th century poem about the hardships and strengths of women. Speaking of Hoang Thuy Linh (lol sorry), another of her song.
