*Digital Album Sales tracking started 2014+
*Digital Album Sales experienced a large increase starting 2018
*This does not include Xiami sales.
*This obviously doesn't include Physical sales since they are already accounted for on Gaon.

How does bigbang have more sales for flower road, D, and E in the second column but less korean equivalent albums in the 3rd column? is it because they're singles land not full albums besides MADE?

They cost less than the MADE album did. Resulting in them having a lower USD overall and Korean Equivalent.

Yes they do! Digital Album sales are generally 0.50 USD to 4.00 USD. These are what comprise "Chinese Sales" you usually see fans talking about. Of course Chinese fans do buy actual albums on top of these too, it's just that casuals or Chinese citizens tend to buy Digital Albums rather than physicals that cost 15 ~ 20 USD.

This includes QQ of course but its not the only source. The only Chinese source not used are Xiami Music and Migu Music.

Do Chinese artist even release physical albums? Most artists I have seen in China only do digital albums recently.

Actually Luhan's highest selling single is 3 Million. A Nine Percent member recently outsold him last year with 12 million. Luhan's XPlore sold 3,581,975 sheets and made $2,592,034 USD. Equivalent to 172,802 Korean Albums.

I understand that thanks. I was just stating some albums don't go on sale on QQ music for whatever reason, and unfortunately I don't see any streaming stats for these albums which is very frustrating for chart analysis

Well back in the day pre 2010/late 2000's? Yes definitely. You had acts selling 500,000 ~ 2,500,000 units there. And some artist to this day still do release physical albums. If they are very popular they will print 10,000 ~ 200,000 Physical copies and let the rest go digitally.

Yeah, streaming numbers are a hard thing to do for Chinese releases. There are several websites and there isn't an official source that reports streams like Gaon would for example. So its up in the air for now. Not to mention some sites fell off and others rose in its place.

It tells you how much Yuan a release made. Then you just plug that in to USD. Divide it by the average Korean EP cost and bam.
