    Running time - 38:17

So this AB6IX's second release, and it's a full album. You don't see many of those nowadays. I will preface this review by saying that I'm not an ABNEW, so I am unbiased. I am going be honest. This album was just ok for me. I listened to the album straight through and tried to find something I enjoyed about each track. What I can say positively is that the melodies chosen for the tracks made them sticky and easily catchy. There's a lot more singing than I expected, so that's a plus. There's more reverb on a lot of tracks, something which I appreciated especially in Breathe and Shining Stars. A lot more fun little sounds that add playful elements are present, and instruments can be heard (i.e piano in PRETTY, drums in SHADOW, guitar in DANDELION). Vocal effects are very tasteful and placed in great spots within the song for maximum impact.
Also, an awesome note: every member besides Woong helped with writing and composing (Youngmin, Donghyun, Woojin and of course Daehwi).

Unfortunately, the songs seemed to be crafted with just catchy in mind, at least to my tastes. A fair amount of songs went in my air and out. The production on this album definitely changed from B:COMPLETE. The snares in this album are much softer and future bass-heavy compared to their previous album, making the songs seem less impactful to the ears. What I loved about B:COMPLETE is that it's much more hard-hitting and dance-influenced with some hip hop influence. This album went for a much softer approach, and there's a ton R&B, pop, and electronic influences. I understand the need for experimentation, but the way they went about it on this album sounds more muted than I expected.

The album is not bad, and is better produced and composed than most boy groups out right now. The thing for me is that it sounds like so many other pop records (in English and Korean) that there isn't much to distinguish it from the rest of the pack. I also had high expectations for this album considering how much I loved their first mini album. This album is just kind of average, which pains me to say.

    Overall album rating: 6.5/10
Please do not take this as an opportunity to trash the album. Hopefully you guys find something in it I couldn't.

Standout tracks: Blind for Love (slick deep house track), Be There (future bass), Sunset (stellar melodic dubstep), Shadow (damn good moombhaton and lowkey sounds like One Dance by Drake)

Honorable Mentions: Love Air (good tropical house and atmospheric sounds that are reminiscent of rainforests because I hear a marimba synth), Pretty (standard bouncy hip hop a la Kangaroo by Wanna One's Triple Unit or Pentagon's Shine), _AND ME (very neo R&B and hip hop inspired, and possibly the most vibey track of them all)

Your thoughts? Imma tag @boringgirl since she's the only ABNEW I know of on this site :p

Very descriptive musical terms. I don’t know a lot about these but you seem to know what you’re talking about.

lol I made mashups for a few years and was around people who knew about music terms. I'm slowly starting to learn about music production myself. It's very interesting actually

I listened to Blind for Love and only a tiny bit of it sounded like Breathe. I haven't listen to the other songs as BfL was okay. Breathe I actually loved on 1st listen.

as a non-fan i listened to the whole album. it was quite disappointing, no tracks really stood out to me or were memorable. i felt that the tracks werent unique and i personally didnt vibe. the only song i kind of vibed with was 'nothing without you.'
