I am aware it is a remake but it does have k-pop schmeck to it, as opposed to other latin-infused releases who completely lose identity.

This may as well be my favourite Latin-influenced K-pop song as of yet. It's really good. I liked it so much that I automatically started smiling half way through. It didn't have a loud instrumental either which is something that bothers me a lot when it comes to the Latin-influenced songs so that made it even better.

    I agree

(I like suju's mamacita though I think that did a good job of keeping kpop and latin influence balanced

It lacks the sexiness and summer fun of the original tbh. Not feeling this. They have good vocals though.

Mamamoo's Words Don't Come Easy and it's bossa nova melody is one of my fave Kpop/Latin fusions.

What's the original? It sounds so familiar to me but I can't figure out where I have heard it before.
That actually seems to be the case with so many songs these days...

Mamacita is a jam. It was indeed latin, but did not have overall latin feeling, just for the chorus.

It's a remake of? Who sang the original? I'm curious.
I find it okay. For me, it's a lot more K than Latin. Less so of an infusion, more of a Kpop number with Latin flavors sprinkled on top.

If you're not from germany it may sound familiar to you know because it has despacito vibes :)
The original is sung by german acts Kay One and Pietro Lombardi

I just listened to it and I have heard it before even though I'm not German  I must have heard it at the gym or something. Thanks! :)

But it's more of a distant memory so you're probably right about it sounding familiar to me because it has Despacito vibes.
