I think its relevant if you talk about trends, not the style of music.
The American industry is loads bigger and you can make a lot of money being an indie Artist. Not like Korea where it’s so saturated
The Kpop industry looks like the beginning of the Hip Hop industry without the coast rivalries.
I don't know but I'm so proud of AKMU and BLACKPINK.
One thing we need to know is the most of streaming are played by business stores such as restraunt, convience, coffee store. Those ppl just play whatever on the high chart.
No one buys CDs anymore, how do indie artists make money here? I've seen the streaming payouts, they're like literal thousandths of a penny.
It would take tens of millions of streams to equal 100k in CD sales (20 bucks per CD), how many indie artists can actually do that?
Because the music industry has more people to support lmao. Korea is a small country
She is the only major singer in her genre which other Kpoppers really fear
Yes ofc, because the mainstream stuff is a joke now. Nothing compared to the classics of the 80's & 90's.
Judging from the chart, it surely KPOP had been slowed down in their home country. I didn't expect Changmo gonna tops IU. Meteor really had that recognition
