It's a good song, nothing great or groundbreaking and not terrible either. First I didn't like it as much because for such a hyped debut I was like "this is it?". It's kinda grown on me now but I still don't see the absolute bop that some people say it is. It's a fairly standard girl crush song, done well no doubt, and I have it on my playlist but it's not cracking my top 10 or 20 of the year.
It's still a pretty average song, sure some parts of the song are cool like the chorus, but the song in general is pretty boring. I'm no saying it's bad, it pretty decent and have some value, mostly visual value for me. But it's far from being a top song. Cool chorus is the best I can say about it, would be boring without the MV.
I listened to BM once till the end after they debuted, tried again later but couldn't finish it. It's an awful song
Black mamba is not a bad song.Its just a song that if it wasn't released by Aespa or any other BIG 3 group none was going to talk about after maybe half a week? It's not catchy at the most part and it's getting boring fast. I love the "ay ya ya ya" part tho xd
"I've always considered myself someone with fairly good taste" is a very pretentious sentence; then who have different taste in music have fairly bad taste?? I don't think. Music taste is different for each person; there aren't a good song or a bad song. Also the "worst" (in terms of listeners) song in the world will always have listeners who love it. The songs are divided between "popular one" and "unpopular one", Black Mamba is not a bad song; and did pretty well I think (I'm not a fan then I don't know). But the song don't suit my taste, I prefer more StayC debut, and with my rock background I like even more the Purple Kiss pre-debut song. I know the songs I like can't be liked by all, it's not meaning I have taste and the others not; means only that we have different taste. Said all that, I listened Black Mamba many times but all the time my brain and my ears say the same "not bad, but not a bop". We'll see the future tracks... P.S: if you like the "ay ay ay ay" there is a bop with "a a a a a" part who is a real bop: 4minute - Volume up.

Same......this is what I've been feeling. Like it's not a bad song. It's actually a good song but nothing outstanding or groundbreaking about it. It's a pretty standard song. I like the Mamba Mamba part & aya ya ya ya too. But that's really like the only part that I remember from the song. I really don't even remember the rest.
Yeah I thought the choreo was fine and I like Ningning, other than that it’s pretty decent I guess. I see people on both sides of the fence go to pretty extreme lengths to hype or bash it lmao.
Owh I like Ningning too Yes. It's decent. Also "generic' doesn't mean "bad". When it's not "generic" people will call it "noisy" & when it didn't do well bcoz it's "experimental". I'd rather have a "generic" song as long as it's good rather than whatever the sounds that I can't even listen. BM is an okayish song. Not really slapping but just ok.
Being a long term fan of ggs from SM, Black Mamba didn't quite live up to SM standards. Had this song been from another company everyone would be all over it. However if you see f(x) or RV's past music this was a downer. Since they've just debuted, we can wait for more in the future. It's generic because it is a type of song done many times before. Inserting dope music or beats means nothing when people place super high expectations. All because it is from SM.
