I've always considered myself someone with fairly good taste. When Aespa dropped with Black Mamba I instantly lauded it for the absolute bop that it was, though, for some strange reason I saw majority of people calling the song "generic" and "basic" and even compared it to (you know who) claiming their song was much better (and yet I can't even remember what said song sounded like after a single listen and see no one hyping it up. Sorry to keep brining it up, but, I still just can't quite get over that). Meanwhile, Black Mamba is a song with a steady flow that has no awkwardly inserted rapping and even clearly displays vocal capability and is not beaten to death with Auto-tune. From the onset, the song starts out bold. Makes you feel dangerous. And when it hits that drop you are just like FUCK YEAH! Drop absolutely fucking slaps. The dance has its killing points that are both fun and memorable. The literal drop they do during the drop in the beat as well as the "ay ya ya ya" part. My question to you is if your taste has improved or not? Please answer the poll and comment how your view is now.
Lmao people who hated Black Mamba will only admit they like the song once another anticipated gg debuts
I didn’t really liked it. Felt SM could produce better songs as the song felt underwhelming for the hype it had. Either way will still may checkout their new releases.
No matter how you slice it, BM is a slapper. Innovative. Gorgeous. It's one of the most creative MVs of the year. It slaps so hard you'll never forget it. It makes an impression no matter who you stan.
i don’t stan aespa nor am i planning to but the song is a literal BOP, i don’t really like a lot of kpop songs in the first listen but i instantly loved black mamba. i can’t believe that people call it “generic”, cause black mamba and generic really don’t belong in the same sentence.
I feel like it shows potential for growth ? Like, I see all the elements I could like in the future, but I didn't really vibe with the song itself. I listened to it a bunch of times, even yesterday. But right now, as I'm trying to remember the song, I just can't. It doesn't leave any impression on me, good or bad.
I LOVE IT. I listened to it nonstop when it was released. In class, at home, it was even stuck in my head during tests and while I was studying. It is so addicting.
